So I got into a little fender bender and side swiped somebody while going to turn left. The cop said it was my fault and the damage was minimal and no one was hurt. Problem is I wasn't driving my car I was driving my girlfriends car. Since I have liability insurance I know the person i swiped is covered and I know I'm not. The only problem is there any reason for her parents to find out that the car was involved in a wreck as in will insurance be calling her parents? She doesn't want her parents finding out because they don't like me... so I really don't know what to do in this situation. I am ready to pay for the damages on her car.... I haven't taken it to a body shop yet but from what i see (Left hand fender, car alignment, and turn signal light) The police man did say we could either use her insurance or mine and I chose mine. So do you think her parents or her insurance will be getting a call for any reason?
All help in this situation is appreciated.

If you gave the person you hit your insurance then no, her parents wont find out unless you or her tell them. Get it fixed asap, or they'll ask questions.

If your girl wants her car fixed, then her parents will find out. And if you try to pull it off without telling them, you can really kiss any kind of relationship with them goodbye. You need to man up and say something. Sneaking is not good. Later, QD.

um do you know if she was ever to sell the car it would come up on a carfax report? there was a police report with the plate number written down...so I'm guessing it will...
