This thread shouldn't even need to be made. GT has not lost to Vandy since 1941. And on the tear that Tech is on now, I don't see the Commodores installing any brakes any time soon.
Vandy ranks #85 in rushing defense. GT ranks #2. Nesbitt, Dwyer and Allen should all have field days Saturday.
Game starts at 7:30pm. Not sure what channel. Later, QD.

I dont know. To hear the people on the radio talk about the wy UGA handled Vandy, I would think that Vandy is a very good team and the fact that UGA beat them like they did proves just how good UGA is.

Are you kidding? Vandy has always been the whipping boy of the SEC. They are probably about as good as Duke or Wake Forest at football.
For UGA fans to brag about beating Vandy should be an illustration of how horrible UGA's football season has gone.

I agree completely...UGA beat up on a seriously hurting Vandy team with a pretty lackluster offense.
Let's not compare the outcomes of the UGA/Vandy and GT/Vandy game when this is all said and done because UGA and GT are 2 completely different teams in all aspects.
Georgia Tech will beat Vandy easy (I am a tech and vandy fan btw) and Paul Johnson will make sure they do it by a decent margin because at this point the only way GT moves up in the rankings is with a top 10 team losing and/or GT winning with style points.

That was my point. If you listen to sports radio, they are talking up the Vandy win as a great step forward for UGA.

Yeah I know it's on 360. I was just hoping for a TV showing. I don't like watching TV on the Net. Later, QD.

31-28 vandy now...at least Tech held them to a FG
This appears like it is our one game against a terrible team each year that they we just don't pull together.
Hope this doesn't end like the UVA or UNC game of last year...

and Vandy is pulling their typical 4th quarter antics, which is consistently falling apart if you haven't watched them much lol (im a vandy fan as well..but ALWAYS a GT fan)
56-31 Go Tech!

and Tech wins!
over 38 minutes of possession and another classy finish by CPJ...taking out his starters and taking a knee when we could easily score again (did it against FSU with over a minute left while sitting within a few yards of the end zone)

I was hoping to see Dwyer pull off 200 yards, but it's all good. Four hundred rushing yards. That's why they are number two in the nation. I hope this will put GT in the Top 10. Later, QD.

We should be in the top 10 after USC got creamed last night. I hope they don't pull any crap to keep us from moving up into the top 10! (I hate the BCS).

also made the BCS top 10 @ number 10 lol
Good thing is LSU and Bama play this week, so more than likely LSU will be falling out from in front of us.
I also think that since Oregon is in front of us as a "better" 1-loss team, if we win the ACCCG we will jump ahead of them with an "extra" win they won't have the opportunity to pick up in a conference championship game.

I was looking at the top 10 schedule today. Basically, the NCS is be between Texas and whoever wins the SEC. Texas schedule is basically a run in the park until whichever bowl they play in. Florida only challenge is going to be the winner of the LSU/Alabama game. Cincinnati still has to face a good WVA and Pitts teams, both have a good chance of knocking them off. Boise State has a easy schedule, but they will never get a shot at the NCS unless they play more rank teams (in my opinion a perfect season where you played only 1 rank team doesn't mean shit). TCU has to face UTAH, who could knock them off. If any non BCS team deserves a shot I would pick them, since the knocked off two ACC teams plus a decent BYU team. Oregon has to pay Arizona (the winner of that game wins the PAC-10) and their rivals Oregon St. (who they should whoop, but never know since its a rivalry game). Then Iowa (who should of lost this pasted week until Indiana decided to stop playing football) has to face Ohio State, who I believe are done losing for the season. I predicted that if we win out the ACC and beat UGA, the max we can move up is 4-5, unless some runts teams decide to play some damn good football.

I agree, but if a top 5 team or 2 gets knocked off and GT wins the ACCCG decisively...we will probably be playing in the 3 v 4 game....a win there puts at #2 at the end of the season which can only help our ranking for next year.
If we finish top 5 this year, we will have a clear shot at the NC next year. Even if we don't return some of our starters we are still one of the youngest teams in the top 10 by far. If I remember correctly, we are one of the 5 youngest teams in Division I this year, so doing this well, with an older team next year, will put us in the hunt for our first NC since 1990
