Athens crew which race car should I get...SCCA prod MR2 or SCCA IT Civic?

MR2 is VERY race car, I have to make blinkers for it, lights, etc.

Civic is race car, has lights and blinkers but still no windows, full cage, totally impractical.

Civic cheaper to run, MR2 not costly just more than a Civic. RWD and FWD doesn't matter it's a race car.

OH and the MR2 needs quite a bit of cage reduction to even put a passenger seat in.

The tail lights are still there, the headlights are gutted where the stock pop ups are and sheet metal cooling ducts.

There is no headlight switch or anything so it'd ALL have to be wired to a switch.

LMFAO I like Echonova's idea. I would keep it as a DD but I can't have two cars, not only do I not want to pay to insure both but my apartment won't allow that we can only have four cars per driveway. Rusty, whatcha doin tomorrow? ;) lol

The car was fucking awesome. It handled like an insane go kart honestly, it's DIE HARD though for the street, it IS A RACE CAR. I need to do quite a few things if I get it to street it and even then it's going to be VERY hardcore. You sit ON the ground, very small steering wheel, obviously no power steering, it's a blast though. We towed it to a local college parking lot that was empty and he let me beat on it.

It's pretty quick, it's VERY light, all the body panels are gutted and such. The clutch is VERY hard lol. Getting in and out isn't THAT bad, the door bars are high but steering wheel comes off and you can slither in. Handling though my god, I floored it trying to brake it lose and it was barely sideways, very controllable too, it was on Hoosier slicks though so...lol.

By the way almost everything has been replaced so not much is MR2. The engine was recently rebuilt and he has paperwork and pics. It runs great, I'm not too worried there. It's not like stupid stupid fast but it revs like hell and is pretty damn peppy. Only internal mods are some port and polish work.

Anyway I'm sold, waiting on his final decision, I am going to look at an ITC Civic too to see about that one.
