Never knew Voodoo is a religion. I just learned this shit today. I don't know what I thought it was like that, but just never associated it with religion. Hmmm. Later, QD.

it is but then again it isn't. there's definitely a belief/respect for the supernatural (obviously)...but there isn't like a defined set of rules/regulations like most big organized religions. in some cases there isn't a central figure to worship/revere either.
each culture has their own version of it - santeria, voodoo, obeah, etc - my understanding is that it all descends from various forms of african ancestor worship. some members of my fam are/were heavy into this stuff (we cal it obeah). it's not something to be trifled with...
this is the #1 reason why I could never believe science has all the answers - i have yet to hear a scientific explanation for the things that occur in voodoo

I won't fuck with it either. I don't know anyone ever being involved in this ordeal. But from the things I've known/learned, it isn't something I want to even get close to...other than just reading about it. Later, QD.

co-sign.....and voodoo is something i steer clear of joking around with....like seances and ouija, spirit or demon conjuring and the like. who knows what you are attracting and what it's intent is when you rifle with it with no knowledge of how to deal with it first.

Being a ghost hunter for 10 years now, I've had plenty of opportunities to mess with this type stuff. Every opportunity has been met with resistance. I don't fuck with boards and seances and shit. Later, QD.

as a dumb 12 years old, i played with one(ouija) with a friend. we were alone at his apartment, and his sister had one. so we got it down went to the livingroom and began asking silly questions and basically acting stupid. so i asked it, if it was real, it better show me a sign or else ill break the board, and as soon as i said it, the closet door in the foyer began banging loud as hell.
needless to say, we spent the rest of the day outside. and i havent touched one since.

my ex boyfriend and his friends were messing around with one, joking and with it and stuff, and they burned it and their house has been haunted ever since he says... the tv turns off and on, and the lights go off and on, crazy stuff

That doesn't necessarily mean it's haunted. Later, QD.
