I actually dont think it will fit the GE motor. If I remember correctly the bolt holes are different, or the intake manifold on the GE wont let it fit properly. I could be wrong, but im almost positive it will not fit on the GE

I have a GE motor in the garage. I might install it to see if it fits.

is that so? are you 100% certain? because i have tried putting a gte rail on a ge motor and it definitely DOES NOT FIT.


so before you go around telling people something will for sure fit, you should do some more research, otherwise, simply say you don't know.

I just stated I would try it on a GE motor in my garage. So before you come hijack my thread keep to your own business. I think you have an IS that needs some work. Whats it been 4 yrs in the making for a GTE bottom end IS300....I'm not going to sell it to someone with a GE motor if it does not fit. I want to see for myself that it does not fit. Like I SAID BEFORE I will take a look at the one in my garage.

I think he is just stating that you said YES IT WILL FIT A GTE, then you say later on, that you will go check. He already stated it wont fit, so did I. So now we all know, right? ;)

I hate to break it to you guys but I'm not trying to make a quick buck. I'll be honest I retract my statement it fitting on a GE motor. I have swapped some parts over from GTE to GE motors before with no problems. I will try it and if it does not like a couple of you have said okay learned something new. However I will check it out.

LOL.... had no idea this was your sn. so you decided to go with the 2j swap? good for you! one day my car will run. its pretty close to being done. had to redo all wiring and start back from scratch. long story. anyways, my car gets worked on when there aren't any customer cars to work on so it will be done when it gets done. could be in a week, could be next year.... who knows... just glad the business is doing well.
