For that reason alone I would. I assume when you say expanded? You mean like a package of raw meat that has gone bad. So the package has expanded due to the gas?

Like I said, I would change it in fear of it exploding. It may not be a bad idea to check other stuff to make sure it's either just the battery or if there's more issues causing your problems. For 60-70 dollars you can get a parts store battery. For $120+ you can get like a Red top or Yellow top Optima.

I would double check and make sure your alternator is not over charging.

Yea... doesn't take a genius to know when its time to replace a battery and how to call your local auto parts store or Wal-Mart to price them.

It's not a matter of price JR. Replace the thing man. I had a Yukon come in at work last week with the same thing.....I almost puked from the smell, and it was hot as hell.

You can get one at Walmart with a 2 year warranty and before the 2 years is over you can bring it back and tell them its bad and they will replace it without actually testing it (theyre supposed to but they are usually too lazy). So then you get 2 more years. Lifetime batteries.

change that thing! lol

should be about 65-85 for a battery depending on brand + warranty

some places should install for free or might charge you $15 ... if you not mechanically inclined.
