save your money. Don't waste it on a D. Buy some beer and have some fun.

do a MPFI conversion if its still DPFI and give bisimoto a call.

I boosted my D15b7... 197/180.... bbT25 for the win:bump:Lasted 2 years! But I beat the hell out of it! And they are cheap to fix if blown!

Definitely boost it. I had a jdm d15b on 8lbs of boost on a conservative tune and it made 210hp 154trq. Trust me you will love it and it handles up to 10lbs of boost easy AS LONG AS YOU ARE TUNED. That is the biggest factor in it. and for the price of some turbo kits around here you could get away with getting everything done right for 2k.

Plus I can sell you a P28 ECU that's already chipped and tuned for a turbo d15b on 8lbs... its my old ECU. LMK

You cant really build a junkyard turbo kit and get dyno tuned for $500.

For $500 bucks the best power combo I can think of is upping the compression (mill the head or thinner h/g) and a chipped p28 and hit the dyno, seeing as how you have basic stuff already.

The jdm d15b head/cam setup is pretty good from the factory. Obviously thats no where near boosted power but far more likely for $500.

For example >

Bisimoto Header
stock jdm D15b head
D16a6 sleeved bore to 78mm.
cometic 80 thousands thick headgasket
stock jdm d15b cam
stock z6 intake manifold
stock ignition
no exhaust
s300
151 whp, 128 ft/lbs tq

This build has a little on yours. (displacement + bisi header)

Boost and the best thing to do. I've drove a boosted D16Z6 on a basemap and was pretty impressed. G/L
