well, new to Hondas, not cars, im pretty familiar so far with the different engines/capabilities but what engine comes in my 2000 civic ?(ex. B16, b18, d16, etc.) I know its a 1.6L 40-cyl VTEC

that must be a pretty big engine...
compared to other factory engines, how does this fair? also... my end goal is to get a turbo on this lil guy, what general route do i need to take my car as far as upgrades?

the factory is the d16y8 and that motor is the equivelant of the obd2 version of a d16z6 they both are screamin when done rigth and it will handle more than d16y5

Except the d16y8 has vtec and I believe the d16z6 is non-vtec

hey man if you ever want to know what motor is in a honda or acura it will tell you on the block just look next to your header or exhaust manifold
