Who is afraid of them?
And be honest, it's ok. I know a handful that are.
And by needles I mean-getting shots/donating blood/getting a tattoo/piercing?

Dead serious, I've never really had the "pain" alot of people refer to when discussing getting a tattoo, to me the burn/sting is actually really relaxing, I typically fall asleep during them.

Haha, I want to get one sometimes, but..idk.
If anything, I would think the 'humming' noise is what brings the relaxation.

I cant handle shots. Hate them with a passion, but part of the reason was when i was like 5-6 they had to take some blood and the person did it really really bad, and since then, cant trust em.
Though I dont worry so much about needles in my gums for dental work as i am about a needle going in my arm. Id make a terrible heroin user.

yes, i have many tattoos, and have had lip pierced.
lip wasnt as bad as i thought.
tattoos..outlines hurt til they let off, then its fine...then when filling in, it only hurts when they first put needle down, but not as they are going back and forth.
and i jsut got flu shot a few weeks ago, tried to give blood, but you cant if you have gotten a tattoo in ga in the past year.

Lol, the reason why I'm asking is b/c, I got 7 shots today.
I had a nurse on each arm.
Dental work is fine too, considering how I used to have braces.

Yeah, I donated blood this past January, and when it comes to tattoos, they are strict about it.

You must be going into some sort of medical profession after getting all of those. Why not tetanus though? Might as well get that one too :goodjob:
As for me, I was deathly afraid of them when I was a little kid, they would have to get a 300lb nurse to sit on me because that was the only way they could hold me down.
Once I got past the age of 7 or 8 I got used to it, I'd have to have a booster or blood work done about once a year. Once I had to have blood work twice in a week and I started having this recurring nightmare about the vial breaking and blood shooting out everywhere.
I remember the first time I gave blood, I had mentally prepared for the little needle they use when they draw blood for tests. I had no idea they use a friggin' knitting needle. But I was able to handle it.
The other needle story is when I had my wisdom teeth taken out. They had started the anasthesia and I was starting to feel pretty good. They said they had to start and they were going to give me a shot in my gums. Then I saw the needle, it was almost as big as the needle for donating blood. So I remember asking them if they could wait until I was out, and then saying "nooooooo", I guess thats where I passed out from the gas. I woke up slumped over in a wheelchair drooling on myself. :ninja:

Not really, but I am getting 2 more shots next month, and that will be one of them.
YEAH, when I saw that needle I was like, 'whoa'.
But it did not bother me at all. The lady that had me, asked if this was my first time, and I said--'yes, why?'
She said, 'I would've never guessed. You are extremely calm, for the first time. Most of the guys here are scared'.
Haha, and it was like their 2nd/3rd time.
And I really like how you get all that free food and drinks and stuff

Needles dont bother me one bit. And as far as what O3Rcode said about people hyping up how a a tattoo hurts hes right, I guess some people just have a bigger pain tolerance than others.
Plus I used to give myself shots all the time :ninja:

i heart tattoos, but hate shots.
i had to get tested for diabetes / hypoglycemia awhile back. they take a bunch of your blood every hour for 7 hours, it was 8 times total. by the 6th time, they had to poke around a few times, before they found blood :( it was the worst experience of my life. i almost passed out at the end because I hadn't ate in 20 hours. I went straight to subway then bed afterwards.

I have to agree. Tattoos for some reason remind me of sex. I mean they hurt don't get me wrong, but they hurt oh so good. It makes me hot every time I think about getting another one. That's how I ended up with the tat on my back. It started off as just a cross then two days later I had to go back for more so I added words. If I had the money I would go back for another one. I got plans for my lower back. I'm adding dermal anchors and a tat :goodjob:. The pain feels so good lol
