Ok guys few questions.
1992 cb7 accord coupe.
h22a swap manual tranny no ac no ps

1. no vtec and the speedo is inoperative
2. the heat doesnt work. welll.. if you turn the fan off and the heat all the way to red and wait like 5 minutes, then turn the fan on low the heat works amazing for like 3 secs then gets cold again.. whats the deal?? i thought it was low on coolant and it was like a third of a gallon low.. before i put that third of a gallon in the heat was completely inoperative

any help will be repped to the fullest!!!

No over heating.
Cable for valve it fully functioning. Heater control valve doesn't seem to be bad.. Way to test it?
Can a speed sensor cause speedo and vtec problems since the doesn't think it's moving?

I had the speedo and vtec problem in my cb7.
Most likely it's the speed sensor. Vtec doesn't function if the speed sensor is messed up.

x2. as for the overheating problem...heater core? check to see how hot your heater hoses going the the firewall get and make sure there is circulation to the heater core.

The speed sensor was unplugged.. Plugged it back in and it bounced around/ worked ok for about half a mile and now just bounces around 10 when coasting and falls to 0 on accelleration

I don't know if you are aware of this website or not, but have you ever been to www.cb7tuner.com ?

If your questions or problems cannot be answered or fixed on IA, try heading over there. Just about every single thing that has to do with any CB7 has been addressed.

buy it for the tranny you have, the plugs are the same. check the thermostat, need to check to see if vtec is properly wired. check the exhaust when coolant is full and car is warmed to see if it smells like coolant. that means a blown head gasket.

like said already. you must be over 20mph inorder for vtec to work. so you need a new speed sensor. one from a stock accord will work. like cb7 years. are you sure the heater lines are actually hooked up and not looped or anything.

neg reps please. thanks

ok so one person says the vss for the tranny, another says for the car. which is it? this morning the speedo worked for about 2 miles and i THINK vtec popped in first. the tranny is a jdm m2b4.. so where do i get a vss for that.
