I was browsing JGY's website and noticed that all 3 of these motors were $1500.
Just wondering which of the 3 you would buy.
Myself personally I'd take the sr20de and put sr20ve heads on it.

Voted for CA18, I'd throw I/E, and boost controller onto it for first mods, and up the boost.

my vote would actually be to spend the money on alcohol and strippers but since that isnt a choice id say the rb as it is the less of the the three evils.

rb20 is the most powerful, has the most potential IMO. ca18 would be my second choice, good motor. why sr20de? u might as well just get a dohc KA and save money, lol.

i'd spend it on strippers as well. instead of cake i want a funnel cake with strawberries. but if i had to buy a motor itr would be the rb.
SR20 bitches!!!! easy to find parts. i know that engine thanks to brian and its strong as hell. ive raced stock rb20's and sr20's with the same person driving both cars and i walked past the rb20 with my tires spinning in my stock b16 hatch N/A. raced a rb20 car at dallas and he got my out of the hole by by the end of the 1/8th i had him by about 2 cars. i have more trouble with stock sr20 cars. plus the rb20 has too many cylinders. lol!!!!

Must just be the drivers, cause I can take most stock SR20's with a FMIC and upped boost with my RB20 with the SMIC and stock boost. Same with alot of my RB20 customers they can take entry level SR's(FMIC, upped boost, and stickers), now Brians SR is a different beast, I wouldn't even waste my gas trying. But I have beaten RB20's and SR20's with my 6 psi KA-T setup. It must be the drivers. RB20, SR20 they're both 2 liters, who cares?

I've heard that the CA18 is just an RB26 chopped off after 4 cylinders. It's got an iron block and seems pretty stout. Gets my vote.
Not a big RB20 fan, I'd just go with the SR if I wanted 2 liters.

eh... I'd buy the RB, drop it into a decent looking 240, and sell it to some kids in high school for 8 grand. Then I'd but myself a 20 valve 4A-GE ($500) and, a 2 door B13 Sentra project car ($750-$2000). The GA16DE in the Sentra would then be boosted, and the tranny cryogenically treated.
Then, I'd run around waiting for people to tell me 1) "everyones got an SR" or 2) "Sentras are gay" then I'd pop the hood show them it's a motor they probably know nothing about, and proceed spank their ass in my ghetto, home made hell rocket Sentra.
SR's are great. NA or Boosted.
RB20's haven't done anything wrong to me, and I have a healthy respect for the 25, and 26.
CA18, never really looked at it much as I ended up with a Nissan motor from the other side of the family tree, when I got my Maxima instead of getting a 240.
GA16, always impresses me every time I drive a stock Sentra. It's got wonderful midrange and sounds great. They're the most plentiful Sentra motor you can find, so they cost next to nothing.

Who all has actually driven a RB20DET 240? It might just be me, or maybe we've gotten some really shitty and slow SR's, but the RB20DET's are quicker out of the box than a SR20DET. Whats everyone's beef with the RB20, mines spanked all the 25's I've ran, maybe I'm just that good of a driver. Don't know.
