View Full Version : Gaming red ring warranty?

anyone tried sending in a 360 with a red ring without the warranty sticker? if so what happend? My friend did it with his modded xbox and got his back fixed with a new sticker on there.. i mean im not losing anything even if they dont fix it hell i mean they pay shipping :goodjob:. anyone?

i think they will ask you if you opened it or not.. just tell them no.. and send it..lol and see what happens. either you will get a replacement...or the will send it back.. worth a shot.

i was gonna send mine in because the ethernet port stopped working from a lightning strike..and tell them it has red ring.. and just see if they will send me a new one, like they do 80% of the time.

You have the red ring, have you tried plugging it into a different outlet? I had the red ring and did a search and found it can be internal or just the battery pack thing. I plugged it in a different outlet, boom, it worked.

Just send it in. Like you stated, you have nothing to lose. Worst case scenario they send it back to you and request for you to pay shipping.

look up on youtube you can fix it yourself i just fixed mine.. do the towel trick

This happened with my PS2 a while ago. I called the CS and they sent me the paperwork to be shipped. This is before I opened it. They will ask you and just say no. I opened it and did not feel like fixing and they fixed it anyway.

Usually they send you a fixed 360, not your old one fixed. Gives them time to fix the old one and also so you dont have to wait for it to be fixed.

well it really was his because it was still modded when he got it back.
