I have a 1998 vw gti that just started acting up on me. I believe it the idle control valve but I want to get second opinions. When I start it in order to keep it running I have to quickly give it gas as soon as I take my foot off the car completely stalls. Any other thing that can be the problem other than the icv?

Im sorry yea no codes. It doesnt drive slower that I know of I havent really taken it out since it started but from the little driving it has done since then I don't see a difference apart from not holding the idle. Ima pull apart the TB and clean out the ICV

unplug the maf, see if your car will idle better. if the problem is gone, then change your maf.
