I personally loved the NA V10 but the new twin turbo V8 meh...I dont like. I love that raspy throaty V10 sound it made but the turbo whine I'm not digging it. Doesn't sound right.

///M is built on NA power. But to keep up now days you have to have FI power.
That car is huge btw, it looks like a 7 series.

I was a huge fan of the V10 M5, but after talking to a couple owners, I can't see paying $10K for a full exhaust system and getting the gains they did. When you're talking boost, I bet a tune alone will be worth at least 50hp and tq. Turbos are also more efficient than an N/A engine when driven right.
BMW knows what they are doing. I'm sure if the V10 was better than the new TTv8, this thread would have never happened.

The argument could also be made that ///M was built off 4cyl power...wait, inline 6....no no, V8 power....
Evolution man. Everything is getting better....ok, maybe not everything, but you know what I mean.

That makes sense, but my point still stands. //M power has always been NA for the last 20 years.
Just to let you know, I'm not mad at all that they swapped to FI, that battleship looks like it needs to be twin-engined to move around nurburgring like it did.

its all good. I just know that when BMW announced that the E36 M3 was gonna be a I6, the 4cyl. fans got butt hurt and then it happened again when the E92 debuted. But you are right, N/A since the 80s....took them long enough to jump on the bandwagon:D

Only statement necessary in this thread...
