Ok well I've been wanting a camera for a while and just decided to start with something simple b/c throwing a grand at a camera that i may not use after a month would be pointless so i got a new Nikon d40 kit which should be a big upgrade from my cell phone camera lol. Is there and sites that have tutorials or basic info to get good pics out of auto mode. The manual the camera came with doesn't really give any tips it looks like it just states what each thing does. Reps for help.:goodjob:

www.nikoncafe.com is a good resource. In auto mode you should be able to just point and shoot as long as you have pretty good light. The built in flash isn't all that great.
