I have a ls that I'm converting to lsvtec Im running itr pistons 2 layer head gasket, gsr head, 3 angel valve job ported and polished, buddy club 3+, cams gears and springs, and retainers and valves all from buddy club ,obx or blox intake mani and 68 mm tb 4-1 header 2.5 exhaust test pipe password jdm intake, prelude injecters 290cc, skunk 2 fuel rail or with itb's and 330 rc injectors. If I go with itb's my only question is can u get a filter kit for them and which way would possiblely make more power I set a goal of about 190hp. Is that realisitic? Any imput would be great from caliculations I'm looking at 11.6 to 1 doed this sound right? First lsv build know there reilible have a few friends that have them even boosted. Negitive comments stay out

Look for ITG air filters for the intake. 190 whp seems realistic if its built well and tuned.

I think 190 is reasonable with that setup..Im not shy from it..

you should have done CTR pistons.. more comp.:goodjob:

You didn't need the injectors or the fuel rail by the way. I'd also suggest the BLox mani over the obx piece. ALSO - you have more cam than what you need.

^ yea you dont need cams that big.. Stage 2 is well enuff..

buddy club 3+'s arent that big and ctr pistons are too heavy and you dont need itbs to make the power you are wanting. I would take the money you were going to spend on itbs and put it towards a good header and dyno time. and as stated above you dont need a fuel rail but I would use the prelude injectors if you just have them laying around.

I agree with getting a Good 4-1 header not a cheap one.. and CTR pistons would be good..

^ why do u say they are too heavy???

because they are the heaviest factory b series pistons. people don't realize that the weight offsets about any effect from the bump in compression.

a set of type r pistons or something similar should suffice for the horsepower goals he has.

also the spec three plus cams aren't big at all the bc spec 4's are close to skunk2 stg2's with bigger primaries so that places the spec 3 plus between the skunk stg 1 and skunk stg 2

stay away from the itb's also you can make plenty of power on your setup without them. the edelbrock performer x manifold is a good choice just match it up with a good throttle body

Good info from Smote and All-Mota. Listen to these guys, they have had high hp all motor honda's for years.

I didn't see anything about what rods you are using. You are going to need to rev out this setup some to make the power. Like they said above save the money on the itbs and spend it in other places. Also, don't forget a fuel pump.

thanks for all feed back i am prob going to use eagle rods not sure as of yet. i havent got the fuel rail as of yet so i wont spend money on that and i kinda want to use as a dd and heard that the ctr pistons gave to much compression like 13:1 to much for reliable dd and dont want to risk detination thatswhy i got the itr pistons any suggestions on igniton set up? i was thinking msd box, nogoly wires, pulse star plugs? what size fuel pump should i use? 195lb or 255lb?

IMO you dont need msd. Stock ignition is good enough for your power goals.

Can't forget about ARP rod bolts and headstuds. :goodjob:
