I have a little trouble understanding some of their equiptment like the K2 meter. It seem like they always go to it and I wonder if it is just to help the shows ratings a little. I love the show cause I love the idea that Tthere are ghosts and I fully believe in ghosts. If i had the money I would buy the equiptment and do it myself. My brother and I are going to do a little Ghost hunting when he moves up here. You can't believe everything on GH is real cause I am sure to up the ratings someone does something because if you have no evidence you have no show. Does anyone here do any Ghost Hunting of their own and what kind of equiptment do you have. I am looking into doing this as a part time hobby.
What is your favorite episode?
Who is your favorite Ghost hunter?
What is your favorite piece of equiptment?
I really want to go visit Tunnel Hill ga to do some investigating. There is a field where a battle took place and it is said to be very haunted. Guys who do the war reinactments say they have seen Ghosts every year and heard them. I really want to go do some hunting of my own but have no place to start or people to do it with. My wife is deathly afraid of this kind of stuff...she wont even go see a scary movie with me. Oh well let me know what you guys think.

Went to Ringgold gap and heard cannons at like 2am...pretty cool. Thats like 10 minutes from Tunnell Hill.

Not really. We had some propery back in the day that had a house built in the 1800's. It was kinda like the base camp. Many many experiences in there when i was young. Also, my grandmothers house was very active. Something would sit at the foot of the bed at night. You could actually see the indention while you were laying there. Pretty crazy.

I have been a ghost hunter for 10 years this year. I have all the basic equipment needed. I have the a 4 video camera set-up back to a monitor, two regular walk around Sony Handycams (with night vision), two DVRs, digital cameras, 2 EMF detectors and an infrared temperature meter among a few other items. For the last 3 years, I have been featured in the local papers as a ghost hunter during Halloween issues. I even turned down an appearance spot on Montell Williams show for a house that I personally investigated in Milledgeville that made headlines. I've spent the night in several area Civil War homes and hospitals among local city jail/museums. We are in talks with doing a plantation home South of Atlanta right now.
I don't really have a favorite episode of TAPS.
I am my favorite GH.
My favorite piece of equipment is probably just my Sony Handycam. Later, QD.

So Cool ! I have a sony handy cam w/ night vision and thats about it...lol. I am just about obsessed with ghosts and would like to capture something myself. Ever got any good evidence? Maybe an evp? I think here soon I am going to go up to Tunnel Hill and check out the Haunted Fields and woods. The plantation home ought to be really exciting.

Man you were lucky to have some activity so close. I would just be excited to talk with someone who has had a lot of great experiences.

I think QD has a digital library of evidence...and that was 4 years ago...im sure he has tons more now.
Being sensitive is kind of a cool thing...Im no psychic or anything...i can just "sense" the presence and see the entities better than the average person. Kinda freaked me out when i was younger but now, if i feel something, i try focusing on that and see what happens.

I use IR cameras into a DVR and I also simultaneously record onto DVD so I have a hard backup if something goes down. Sony Handycams with IR illuminator. Digital voice recorders. I had an emf detector but cannot find it. K2 is nothing but a different version of an emf. I want a full spectrum camera and a vibration detector. Favorite piece of equipment is my digital voice recorder. I am an EVP person. I am also a skeptic. I can debunk almost anything I have came across. However I have had some things I haven't been able to explain.

I do. Or at least I did. Unfortunately, I think I lost pretty much everything I ever had. I'm real upset about that. I had a lot of EVP and that's what I rely heavily upon as I don't put a lot of stock in pictures. Oh well. I'll get back in the game harder and gather more shit, I suppose. Later, QD.

QD, did your first EVP freak you out a little. It did me!! I was exited and at the same time it made my skin crawl so bad my eyes welled up. It took a few times for me to "get used to it."
