Theres a local guy that hand built a replica, I've driven it at Roebling. It may be one of the craziest cars I've ever driven. You are sitting on the rear wheels and it feels like the car pivots on this weird spot in front of you...

Isn't the drive shaft incredibly short?

I'm not even sure its got one...lol If its more than 12 inchs I would be amazed. I don't remember the one I drove even having doors, it seems like I climbed in through the window, maybe it was just how the cage was setup.

Many years ago, it was on Hemmings my classic car and i remember him saying that either there was no shaft, or it was a special coupling that connects the trans to the diff.

Incredible car. One of my favorite American cars from that era.

You're crazy! It has a 4 liter inline six that makes 400 hp, accelerates to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of about 180 mph. It handles very well too, suspension was designed by the guy who designed the suspension for the Noble.

Yeah, I know some obscure super cars. I would love to own one, currently they are about 65k USD. Not bad for the performance in a production car.
