I'm on a learning curve too so we'll be nice and slow if you wanna go. I'm putting the bike on a truck and driving up so if you need to bring extra parts and gear I can lug it up their for you.

I live in lawrenceville by discover mills so we'll be leaving from there. Hope to go this coming up tues the 13. no rain and less traffic and cops.

made it up there yesterday and last week and it has been gorgeous out...not much traffic either. However the police were in full force. Its a perfect time to get up there. In another month or so it sucks due to all the leaf watchers.

if its your first time up there i would get someone who knows the roads well and is a fairly experienced rider to go with you.

Called everyone I knew that rides and none wanted to go.

Ended up meeting up w/ a nice couple off GSB. and had a freaking blast. Never seen roads like that in my life.

did 129, 180, 60. did not get to do richard russell.. itching to go back before it gets too cold.

richard russell is a blast. just be aware of debris on the side of the rode. Most importantly DONT TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD. Turns sneak up on your really quick.

true that. i've never trail braked soo much in my life. i'd be leaned over a good bit and those decreasing radius corners just sneak up on you, a little front brake to slow the bike and your good.

how's the pavement on richard russell? 180 had some jacked up roads that unsettled the bike a couple times.

60 and 129 are a freaking blast.

the pavement on RR is pretty crappy, its a locals cut through road so its not kept up too much. Its not that bad but its not as nice as the new pave 60 got. Eventually you will learn you wont need to use braking in the corner that you will use more throttle instead to pull you out of the corner. once this rain clears ill be back up to the mtns if youd like to tag along.
