I just moved to the Buckhead area two weeks ago from Florida. I currently own a 94 Supra, 99 Land Cruiser, 69 Pro Street Camaro and 94 Trans Am. But sadly the domestics are still in Florida because it seemed pretty unreasonable to live in an apartment complex and bring 4 vehicles for one person. I won't have the Supra up here until Thanksgiving, but by then I'll have it's GT42r strapped on so it should be worth the wait.

I'm interested in finding out about some local meets or car clubs since I don't know anyone up here. I'm more interested in the kind of meets that involve sitting around drinking adult beverages as opposed to the kind that involve standing around in grocery store parking lots till 4 am... I feel like I had more than my fair share of that business back in undergrad. And now "I'm too old for that shit" even though I'm only 24. Anyway, I like the typical stuff: good scotch, big guns, fast cars, and the NBA. Hopefully I'll be able to meet some fun people through the forums. If not, I'll just continue to kick it solo with my old friends Johnnie Walker Black and Gold... seriously though, I need to get out of the apartment.

Haha...I feel you there.

Biggest meet in town is at the Varsity on first Thursday, and despite being a parking lot, its usually a lot of fun and a great place to meet folks.

Cars look awesome dude. Welcome.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I'll def check out the Varsity meet, although I'll be slightly embarrassed to be the lurker that shows up to a car show in a regular SUV.

To the person that asked: I'm from Melbourne, FL about 10 minutes away from the beach on the East coast, which I kind of miss even though I hardly ever went there. But I also lived in Gainesville, FL for 3 years while I attended UF. So I did a lot of racing at Moroso in West Palm Beach, Orlando Speed World (unfortunately) and the Gainesville drag strip and road course.

Someone else asked for more pics:
Here is a pic of my Camaro with my buddy's new one:

Here when I had three gens of the f-body all at the same time. I recently sold the 80. It had a 454 but since it was such a heavy pig it only ran 12.10 so it had to go:

This is before I got rid of the HREs... I liked them better but 20's are too big IMHO:

And just for the hell of it here is my new turbo for the Soup:

That concludes our show and tell for the day.

I live in Buckhead as well. I've been here a year, but have yet to find a solid crew to run with. If you find one, please let me know, as I too enjoy the beers.
Sweetwater after work is nice. What kind of job brought you to the area?
