What was the charge? Like how many over in what type of zone? Although if he illegally clocked you, this may not be relevant. Later, QD.

Go to court if you can prove it, but you'll need documentation from the DOT or whatever that the grade of the hill is 8%. As far as the stationary with lights off, thats going to be a hard one. I've had the same thing happen to me (cruiser was sitting in a ditch with lights off).

In Athens they also hide behind this one sign, but its a trap to catch people running a stop sign or to pick up DUI's, not necessarily a speed trap.

Ouch. That's not good. If you think it will be beneficial, then try to fight it. But what you might also think about doing is taking the driver's course and showing up with that and see if the solicitor will work with you (showing her the completed driver's course pprwrk). It may be cheaper to do that than to hire a lawyer to fight all that mess.

That won't hold up at all. That judge hears that excuse probably 100 times a week (if not more). I'd go with the rules of speed traps if you're going to fight. Later, QD.

I agree, telling the judge you have a "swap" will probably hurt your case more than help.

Plead not guilty so they will have to set up a trial date. That will be probably 6 more months added on for DOT. Later, QD.

You might try the USGS (US Geologocial Service). If might get the coordinates from Google maps and then find the corresponding topographical map from the USGS. I know they show elevation but not necessarily grade, so you will probably have to do the math to find the grade.

I don't know if they are available online, but I know most libraries have USGS topographical maps of the local area on file.

how u get it dropped? i had a cop that was sittin in a cemetery with all his lights off and i was doing 55 in what i thot was a 45. after he pulled me over he informed me that the limit had just changed to 35 but there were no signs from where i pulled onto the street up until i got pulled over. the only sign was one a mile down the street, the opposite way. is there anything i can do about this?

because of the georgia code on a police officer having to be visible from 500 feet, and the grade of the hill i was clocked on was 8% and he was certified to use a radar gun at that percentage
