So my stock BFGs of 400 treadwear can't seem to cut any decent 60' times. I'm not the best driver in the world but I don't think the tires are helping either.
I've been looking at Continental's ContiSportContacts and the Falken Ziex.
Are any of these good?
And I don't want to get drag radials just to run 13s.

Those tires arent sticky at all. Usually the less tread wear rating the stickier. Anything above 300 is going to be a hard tire. What size tires are you looking at?

This is true. If you want to run good/better times expect to pay more money.
You gotta pay to play. If your interested I have a set of mustang wheels that would be great to throw some MT on. LMK if your interested.

Nah I don't think so either.
If I can afford to buy 9" wide wheels I'll go with 275/45/18 (stock tire diameter), and if not I'll stick with stock size - 235/50/18.
I realize smaller wheels are better for traction but I wanna race with the same tires that I used to drive to the track with. It's not like my car makes 500wtq lol.

I'm aware. 275s are gonna cost me $210+ a piece. :(
And I sent you a PM.

It looks like they don't make any in my size.
How about the Bridgestone Potenza RE-050?

Possibly, although ive never had a tire last over 10k miles on a mustang except for bfg gforce sports that have a 360 treadwear i believe they have been on the front of my car for 15k now and have tons of tread left.

your probably better off money wise just getting a used set of wheels with tires on them. Usually people with mustangs sell wheels left and right so you can find some good deals.
