Well Saturday night I was driving home from my parents us to me and my fiance ( which is about a 30 min drive). Well it was raining so I was driving very careful and slow ( i hav e never had a wreck or speeding ticket). Well about 5 mins into my drive I go around a corner and the wheels lost traction, so I try to correct it the car in the lane, well lets just say that DIDN"T happen. Fist my Suburban turned sideways, then backwards, and then on to the drivers side sliding about 15 ft. Then the car slide down an embankment about another 100 feet. After the car finally stopped it took about 10 mins for anyone to realize a car had gone of the road. But thanks to God and all of the Emergency help I am doing pretty good.

P.S SEAT BELTS SAVE LIVES! THAY SAVED ME! SO PLEAS WEAR THEM!

I Know everyone want some pics, so here is some of the Suburban hosed out a little.

Guess you'd have to be on the scene or something to understand why someone could believe you're NOT dead. Judging from the pictures, the wreck doesn't look that bad at all.

I just re-read your first post again. The truck was on it's side sliding?

Later, QD.

Insurance is a pain. Make sure if there is any frame damage that it doesn't fall into the unsafe category. I know the ordinates you can look up for that if there is any damage.

Yes, it was sliding about 100 feet on the drivers side on the road and then into the grass and ditch.

That is soooo true insurance is a bitch to deal with at times. Chris said that he was worried that there was frame damage, were just waiting to here back from the body shop to see.

Glad you are ok, but this is nothing more than driving too fast for conditions or just a really inexperienced driver, nothing more, nothing less.

Actually lives don't always get saved by seat belts. I was told by the paramedics that if I would have been wearing mine when I had a wreck, back when I was 17, that it would of broke my neck. Due to the locking mechanism fucking up during the wreck for some reason. Dunno why I didn't put it on that day. Just luck i guess. Then when i was 12 a good friend of my grandparents got his throat slit from wearing a seat belt, when a drunk driver wrecked into him.

can't believe i missed this thread.... been workin too much.

the tires look worn more than they were because they were caked with mud. they were all at or above 5/32nd's of tread. and to whomever said one less suv- don't worry, if she wants another one, she will get it.

thanks to all of those with well wishes and all i will say to the know-it-all folks is that there was standing water on the road. this was not a case of driving too fast, or not knowing how to drive. it was simply bad luck and we are thankful that all that got messed up was the truck.

makes plenty of sense to people with the IQ to get it. there is no point to being a prick about something like this, if you don't give a shit then that's cool just move along. she posted it on here because we are friends with a few people on this forum. nothing more nothing less.

because the fact of the matter is, I'd bet money that in the exact same situation you wouldn't be guaranteed not to wreck either. nobody is perfect, and I think you are missing the entire point. The wreck is irrelevant to me, the fact that I could have lost my fiance is all I care about. fuck that suburban, i'll go buy her another vehicle if she wants, I'm just glad she is OK, and she is thankful for being OK as well.
