i think its more worth to avoid getting your car stolen, PERIOD.kill switches, take the wheels off and take inside the house, booby trapped with bombs, et.

lowjack only tells you where you car is or was, so theoretically ..

if you had car A get stolen at 12 at night. by the time you get up at 7 and find out its prolly done stripped and burned in a random ass location... which by the afternoon leads you too, a random ass location of nothing lol

but then again, thats what i think :2cents:

They do sell a more expensive unit that will track were the car is AND notify the police. The only problem is that not all police cars are equipped with that system. And not every area in the US or more specifically Atlanta has it. So EX. Car A is stolen. with in 5 min if it being taken you are called on your cell every 15 min and so are 3 back up people on your list if you do not answer. 2. The signal goes off and within that 15 min IF a cop has that system in his car, he will be sent a signal to were the car is and that it is being stolen. Then he can go catch the guys. With that system, the cars are found with in one hour or so of it being stolen. But that is a big IF... IF the cop has that system in the car and IF the cop will actually do somthing about it.

I belive that it costs about 900 for the "top of the line"

900 for top of the line? god thats alot lol. i vote get a nice 2 way pager, stealth install with 2 sirens inside, battery backup, and ecu/fuel kill relays, and whatever else you wanna add... WAyyyyyyyy cheaper than 900 bucks, and almost guaranteed that the theives wont even step into your car :tongue1:

Quick releas HUB for your steering wheel...if you want to get a tech.

GPS locator, cell service, and a $10-25 p/month service. No need for lojack or relying on every officer in the area having the tracking system. A normal GPS locator can be setup to notify you if the car moves then it can be tracked online in real-time...price is $200-500 depending on features.

ok, i forgot to clarify a few things. so here it goes: car has an alarm with multiple zones of protection and 2 way paging, there are killswitches installed as well, wheel locks are installed (but my wheels suck ass so whatever), and a pedal lock will be purchased as well. i was only considering the lojack as an extra layer of protection. i do realize that if someone wants to steal my piece of shit bad enough, they will find a way, but i also believe in making it as big of a pain in the ass for them as possible. thanks for the input from everyone (both the funny ones and the serious answers), i will be making my decision very soon.

http://www.slgps.com/this is about the cheapest easiest way of finding your shit. an u also have to think about the insurance premium drops which are huge. so not only will they get your car back they have a way better chance of finding the chop shop and the jackers. to just to find the people is worth it.

the more layers the better. Just decide how much u like your car and let that decide how extreme you want to go. Imagine if your car was stolen would it be worth it to gps it and/ or lowjack it to try and get it back. If not, add the common layers to deter....
