Looking for a good point and shoot camera came across these for reasonable prices..any of these good. Just need one to take before and after pictures of paint. Ones that can get good image quality, and capture good detail!

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90

or

Canon PowerShot SD970

or

Canon PowerShot A2100

or

Canon PowerShot SX10

Any ones that I am missing? Most of these are for around $250. Not looking for one thats $400+ or a really cheap one. Just need a good one that captures color and quality!

get the fuck out of here...how do you think I found the cameras! Do those review sites give you first hand exp? Do they show example pictures taken by those cameras?

Again get the fuck out of here!

type of answers I am looking for. Looks like it is narrowed down to the last two!

I'd have to say the Canon PowerShot SX10 - canon makes great point and shoots and this one seems to have a really good range of zoom and a lot of features.

I would highly suggest finding a store that has a large variety of cameras, hopefully the ones you're looking at, and just test them all out. See how the menus work for you, see how you like the features and shots, and see how it feels in your hands.

Also check out www.amazon.com , www.epinions.com , and www.cnet.com for reviews.

pocketability, not having to learn anything you don't want to. I have a dslr and would really like to get a p&s on the side, but I probably wouldn't like anything less than a g10 or something

dam now I need to be able to positive rep you for that! extactly why I dont want a DSLR, used Hachidori's before and that thing is fun, but large, and has way to many dam buttons/features to it!

I think that if I was only going to spend ~250, I would look into this http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=casio+ex-fc100&hl=en&cid=13012070855416489033&sa=title#p

it records video at 1000fps. theres tons of creative possibilities there.

Getting a camera without video at this point is suicide. It will be obsolete in months.
