I just ordered a new FMIC setup to replace the janky ass shit my car came with, it's a basically stock 91 talon tsi. The piping has a BOV flange welded on already, am I going to have any problems with the car stalling or anything like that if I install a BOV? Apparently it has to be a "recirculating" BOV or something but if my car is going to run shitty I'll just cap the flange off.

cant you just put your stock dsm bov on the new piping and hook up the hose that recirculates it back in to the intake pipe?
if i remeber right back when i had a talon ,you have to modify some other stuff to run a after market bov ,google it im sure you will find it quickly along with a list of free mods :D

You can run an aftermarket but it has to be recirclated unless you have GM MAS and a MAF-T. Unless you plan on big boost just use the stock valve. It is better than most of the aftermarket ones anyways. I use my stock valve with 22-24 psi and never have a problem. It is crushed though. Stock should easily handle 18-20 with no modification. Remember though that 2g calves are junk, make sure it's a 1g.

All the stock stuff is gone unfortunately for the jank ass shit it has now. Honestly I just want to hear the sound of a good BOV lol but if it's pointless to use I won't do it.
And I'm assuming I'm supposed to recirculate it into the vacuum line connection after the MAF? That just has a screw in it right now and theres no BOV at all so it runs like shit, I was just going to go ahead and upgrade to an aftermarket one while I was redoing the entire setup.

Yes I have a BOV, idk why I even said that. It's a pos and it isn't recirculated, the car barely idles at all. My new FMIC setup has a 55mm flange welded on already for the BOV, if I want a HKS SSQV what do I have to do to make that fit? I wanted to go with the HKS because it's easy to use for a recirc setup.

You can always check out the recirc valve at http://www.forgemotorsport.com/content.asp?inc=product&cat=0006&product=FMDVSPLTR. They have what is known as a "hybrid" recirc valve , you can use it as a 50/50 recirc/atmospheric a 100% recirc or a 100% atmospheric.
