I've called around to many different machine shops (at least 10) all over Georgia, to see if any of them could do a line hone job on my gsr head, i know that it needs one. They've all said that they cannot do it, and when one shop recommends the next one, the next one says no and recommends to me another one and then they say no as well. Its somewhat frustrating, and i was wondering if no shops in Georgia do line honing, where would be the next best place to look?

Line honing a head is pretty tricky and most places dont want to do it. Its too much risk. Plus you have to cut the cam caps down to fit in most cases.

You are better off just buying another head

Most machine shopes can do line boring for the crank but not on cam journals. This is because the cam journals are so small. The only place I know that does it is Cylinder Head Exchange in Marietta. They can also weld it up and recut it needed. I just had a Evo head done by them a few monthes ago. Good luck.
