Btw, what I gather from some research is they can't ban existing products. http://rpc.senate.gov/public/_files/L14S982FamilySmokingPreventionFDATobaccoControl060 109ac.pdf

after reading that summery its says that congress how the powers to ban any of the tobacco products they they see "unsafe" but "the Secretary of Health and Human
Services (HHS) cannot ban existing tobacco products or reduce nicotine levels to zero."

and "The
legislation permits most existing products to remain on the market and reserve to Congress the
power to ban tobacco products.1"

reps for that find.

If they cut nicotine in tobacco products that just means people will buy more. I wonder if this is some kind of joint-pay-off between the gov't and tobacco companies. :D lol

More than likely, Corp America runs this country. I don't think the gov't has any right to tell people what they can or can not to their own bodies

Lol +reps. So true. I don't think the government should be able to tell me what I can and can't do with MY body. I have a feeling if our government dosent start pulling their heads out of their asses the citizens of this country are gunna rise up and overthrow our government.

i'd say that would be an accurate assumption. you know how the rich and the gov't are always so chummy with each other. they help each other get rich while we the average guys get poorer. we as the general public are totally fucked when they make almost any new bill, law, whatever.

not gonna happen, we've already let them fuck us in the ass for many years now. here are some examples of my conspiracy theories... dealerships basically doing fixed pricing on cars by doing a fake invoice for us to see when the real invoice is padded by thousands (it used to be you could get really great deals on cars at the dealers, but those days have been long gone)(in addition while making huge profits for the past 15-20 years on auto sales, they all of the sudden say they need a bail out and the goverment give it to them), outsourcing jobs out of the country to increase profits for company execs while lowering their overhead (great idea, send money out of our economy and into another country's economy), letting illegals stay so they can get votes and allow employers to hire cheaper labor to help them increase their profit margins (great idea, illegals milk every gov't aid program while making unreported income that isn't being taxed, no wonder i see so many of them driving such high end cars, and let's not forget that some of them are here to work and send money home to another country, again removing money from the american economy), the gas prices going crazy high before bush was on his way out (just using every excuse to line his and his oil buddies pockets with lots of green before the new pres took over), we can go on all night on this and the fact is that we as a nation won't do shit about it. at least they should give us a discount on ice packs cause my ass is hurting from all the fucking us over that they've been doing.

please note the opinions expressed above are not mine, but my ass's.

so i talked to the guy at my local shop today...the new law effect flavored cigarettes ONLY, they all had to be off the shelf by sept 22nd. the store owner i talked to said that the companies will get around it soon by coming out with new flavored cigars (small ones, shaped like ciggarettes, but wrapped in leaf instead of paper...

i asked him about it to be sure that they weren't banning all flavored tobacco...i was afraid it was a stepping stone to banning the "flavored tobacco pipes"...he told me there is not really any cause for concern, all shops should still be selling hooka tobacco.

...and if any of you f'rs ever sit in a circle with me, read the end of my siggy!

so are black and milds included in this ban? because from what i've read it seems like they shouldn't be, but some stores aren't selling them anymore because they were told they can't...

you can still smoke your hookah, still buy all your regular products...

the black and milds are not included in the ban, don't know why a store would stop selling them. the flavored cigarettes are the only things banned, they will be replaced with flavored cigars...no biggie from what the guy at Mystics told me.
