'47-54 Chevy/GMCs were the best looking trucks ever produced. Hands down. This one is no different.

Belongs to a member of another forum I'm on. It's one of the best looking '49 pickups I've seen. Nothing special under the hood -- Just another SBC.

I wouldn't change a damn thing about the body. That patina is fucking beautiful.. not to mention original.
Yeah, it's a little rough around the edges and has a few dents and dings here and there... but that's called CHARACTER -- Something street rods and trailer queens with $10k paint jobs rarely display.

I guess the old saying goes both ways -- One man's treasure can also be another man's trash.

Patina = rust?

You don't think that there's a body that has paint that's actually usable and you can polish up?

Patina = rust?

In a way. Not just rust, but the way the paint job has been weathered and affected over a long period of time.

I think it's awesome to see an old car/truck of that age that looks like it was sitting in a wooded, weeded, ivy-infested field/yard for the last 40 years now driving down the highway. I love it.

Now what I don't care for is the people that take good, straight bodies and fuck them up to make them look like it has been sitting in a wooded, weeded, ivy-infested field/yard for the last 40 years. Later, QD.

Sweet, Guy that lives on my street has a 5 window sitting on an Izuzu pup frame and a tune port 350 in it. If he ever finished it that is.

that look has become more and more popular over the years. some folks even go as far as to redo everything about the trucks except the body. This style doesnt really work on cars though. I LOVE IT

those trucks almost bolt up to a squarebody ext cab s10 frame. They sell a kit to make it bolt up for about 1k. I had a 51 sold it for a 69. There was alot of them on ebay that came from the old navy cloths store a while back..they 1/2 fixed them up for a t shirt display.They sold on ebay like 3 or 4k...cheap cheap

They did a pretty decent job on the frame/suspension, but I've never been a fan of patina. You can call rust character if you want, but to let good body panels ruin on purpose is crazy to me. To each his own though.
