That's a good one. I think valvetrain is actually bolt-on. Once you get into porting I think it's not. If some1 refreshed the head w/ STOCK parts and seals on a car w/ a I/H/E you'd still call it a "bolt-on" car. So refreshing the head w/ aftermmarket goodies is the same (IMO). Still stock compression - still stock bore. BOLT-ON

Exactly. A bolt on is replacing something on the outside of the motor, that you "bolt" ONTO the motor (not INTO).

There's always a big debate over whether nitrous is a bolt on or not, or if it's considered FI.

One thing that I cant grasp is how some consider nitrous on a car a NA car.

nitrous is a power adder and considered forced induction in my other forums........definately not n/a

Nope its real. I known Patrick when we were in the same classes years back. He drove a Geo Metro. Im not saying geo metro trying to say he had a slow car, he realy drove a geo metro. About 3yrs ago I posted a gun for sale and while working on a car he pulled up in a white vette. I was like WTF, where is the geo, and he said the vette was his dads car. From when I saw it the vette only had a drop-in k&n filter but that was 3yrs ago, so I dont know what he has done to it since. When he graduated the next year, his dad gave him the vette. That was the last I heard from him up intill about 3weeks ago. Either way, I put it on my brother/ mom/ dad/ gf's and mines grave that what I said is the truth. Mike beat Patrick fair and square
