Just a general "what do you think" thread? I've always had a soft spot for these cars and I've noticed a couple driving around recently, oddly enough.

I LOVE these, I have almost bought at least five of them, but get scared at the last second of working on them lol. I've always wanted one since I was a little kid, I have pics of me standing next to them in parking lots LOL.

I too, have forever loved these cars. The engine is a beautiful as the outside, however... Alfa quality has always kept me away.

Yea it's not hard to make them look good and they've got one of the best looking and best sounding engines ever.

Haha as far as getting your hands on one, they're IMPOSSIBLE to find. I've seen Spider Veloces left and right, but I think people who've got their 164s will hold onto them.

From what I've read, the 164 isn't as bad as the other Alfas but...it still is an Alfa. I mean the fact that it has three onboard computers makes me a little iffy.

I've just been seeing a couple 164s around and remembered how much I loved these cars.

There is one on my campus with the new headlights.

I'll find a pic.

Anyone remember the Procar?

The mid-engined V10 monster with the shell of a 164.

I think this is my favorite incarnation of the car...thought it was the most beautiful car ever built at one point.

yeah, i like em. I almost bought one off craigslist but the guy didn't leave a phone number and never responded to his emails. 180hp stock would seem to be fun for that year car. And it sounds really mean without an exhaust lol (heard it on youtube)

I've seen'em around as well. Definitely head turners at least here in the States.

Sidethought: So is this where Daewoo got their headlights from?

That was probably in the last batch that they sold here. Wow...I really do love these cars. Can't wait for Alfa to come back to the U.S.

The Euro car meet is on Tuesday and i was told to come out. The person i talked to said that he put those lights on it but that is what i want to figure. The guy is from Switzerland.

Do you know if that model with those lights was sold in the U.S.?

Either it's a Europe-only option and I'm wrong about that "last batch" comment, or it was part of a 1995 redesign which was the last year of sale in the U.S. However, only the LS and the Q were sold here in 1995, so the S model is of an earlier year.

Those "new"headlights do a lot for the styling though.

Wow dude it's been a while...haha though I only saw you a little while ago. Come party with us again.

Anyway, I digress...Alfa Romeos! If I get one and Alfa Romeo returns to the U.S. market, could I get it serviced there?

Hah, cool.
