thanks for everyone who saw it useful lol. it took me over an hour and a half to get there with no rock chips! :)
it did pour rain on it but it was fine, it actually came off easier when i took it off! when you guys get some nice paint maybe youll do the same before a long drive! :)

oh yeah, i fail to see how taping your car is "bandwagon" when i merely want to protect what i have paid alot for recently(respray on front end). my lude is not my DD so it rarely sees long drives. hell i rarely drive it in general. it has pefect paint and id like to keep it that way. not one chip anywhere

I think your car looks fantastic, other than no lips on the wheels. I would never tape my front end though to go 2 hours. Different strokes for different folks though and nobody can blame you for what you did.

As for the folks that got all bent out of shape over people voicing their opinion....
Maybe tape your face so that opinions don't take chips out of it and get you angry in your panties.

I guess so! You can't keep your car perfect forever. Just don't follow people too close and you won't have to worry about rock chips. Rocks don't just jump up off the ground and attack your car. I have a rock chip on my damn roof, who gives a shit, repaint it later if it bothers you. I auto-cross my car without tape, just enjoy driving.
