eh...Creative with the twin turbo kit, but everything else is "too much" for me. More pics of the actual build would be nicer.

personally, I feel you WASTED a lot of money on that car.

Also, why do you have black eye lids on a black head lamp? Why not paint them white to match the car?

why do you feel i wasted money on this car? im curious to see the response for this.

as for the black headlamps and black eyelids, i like subtle accenting. and it looks better black than white. because you can see it, but you cant see it.

Why the Corvette race team skulls?

corvette race team? last i checked those skulls are the Punisher Skulls from the comic book hero/villian depending on perspective of "the Punisher"

why do you feel i wasted money on this car? im curious to see the response for this. It's a Mazda with many ford parts. It's not even 100% genuine Mazda. Will you get any of your money back from this "build?" No. You prob could have bought a Supra. Yes, lots of people have them but they don't depreciate like this car will.

Any ground breaking times or numbers? Did you build the transmission, axles, hubs/spindles? Or are you hoping they hold up b/c you have tripled the power from the engine?

as for the black headlamps and black eyelids, i like subtle accenting. and it looks better black than white. because you can see it, but you cant see it.They are pointless then.

Nopi started turning into crap back in 03/04 , but thats just my opinion. I really think you should get some decent photos of your car outside of the "show". I dont think it would look bad, but your display and your setup takes away from the car.

I'll have to agree with you Nemesis, his car is very clean, and looks amazing in person. I went for a ride in it before the TT went it, and its was quicker then speed6's. Now I can only imagine.

roller? lol professional auto body spray gun.

the paint is automotive color and clear. with primer and etc. under just as a vehicle exterior would be done. i chose to keep texture to keep the feel of it when you touch it.

hmm, ford block, mazda heads, motor designed by Cosworth and Porsche. the stock bottom end has Aston martin rods, a crank that handle over 800hp stock, part ford yes, and?

tranny thus far all i have done is a forged helical LSD with ARP fasteners. will be cryo treating a spare this winter, motors bottom end is stock right now, will be built in 2010

and who cares about getting my money back. if i was concerned about money i wouldnt build cars. i have no plan on selling the car. i build car for the love, not to worry about money coming back in return. if thats what you are concerned about, then cool.

as for the supra, dont want one honestly. im a different kinda motorhead, i purposely choose cars to build that no one has done yet. i like being different and having something unique. and dont care how much it costs me to be different.

could buy two mustangs and two xrunners, but everyone has em so i dont want it. thats just me. forgive me for not conforming to the norm and trying something different bro.

do i love the supra, mustang, evo, and etc? hell yea, the cars are awsome, but they are not for me. u know?

as far as other parts you mentioned asking if they were built.......they will be.......but doing something that hasnt been done before, you run itno issues with having to get things custom made, and takes a lil longer than just buying off the shelf.

Before this thread goes downhill, let me shed a little light. Anthony, I agree that there are a lot of Ford parts on the 6 (I have one...lol). What Justin did, has never been done in the 6 Community. No one has built a fully functional "tunable" TT Mazda6. Yes, someone tried before, but that was a failure. They could not tune that car. Justin has had quite a few parts made by suppliers for these cars. What he does is try to get the 6 out there. He looks out for fellow 6 owners & helps them in anyway he can. His car has also been the test bench for a lot of these parts before they were even marketed.

yea IIRC didnt they almost cancel a few of the nopi events this year or last year? i heard something about a couple of them werent happening but wound up still going down. HIN is the same. i feel for HIN like you feel for Nopi.

i have some pics before it was boosted. and a few after thats not in the show scene, i will be taking some more this weekend if its nice. i will be finishing up a couple things on it today. its been off the road for 3 days, fixing an oil leak.

It's a car full of innovation. Don't hate on it because it's not jdm tight and stock looking.

I think if the interior did has so much contrast it would look 1000x better. The exterior of the car is not bad, the kit is to aggressive for me though.

Get some Black suede and everwhere you painted white, wrap it with it!

Honestly, it is very hard to pull of a painted interior, or color matched interior. Even on a porsche, I still cringe when I see it.

uhhh...btw you didn't spin at all. you need to run more boost or something. My sisters VW bug pulls harder than this:

lol, lets see, where should i start on that video?

1. this video was taken the first time i actually drove the car on the road and hit max boost

2. i was at 5psi

3. i was rich as hell

4. i had 15 degrees of timing retarded during that run

5. the car was basically no where near having a round about tune

6. i had spark blow out between 5400-6000rpms in both gears

7. spun briefly

no comment on the Bug, because u may be right, at least at the time of that video, lol

thanks for your post tho.

not my style but well done! h8ters will h8....

This is where the term "haters" is way overused. No one is "hating" in here. Thankfully, this thread hasn't turned out like most threads where not everyone likes a car. It seems everyone is actually being tasteful in their comments of displeasure. Just because someone doesn't like something, doesn't make them a "hater." Later, QD.

i have a youtube vid with pics of it. it dyno'd at 317whp, 340wtq, that was before my big turbo upgrade, whereas i crashed it shortly after the upgrade. but i approximated it making about 400bhp on the larger turbo(dyno proven, no) but i guessitmated the big turbo output off the comp maps and numbers i put out on the baby turbo, lol

max out will be next year. this year im only shooting for 400-425bhp on the stock motor which is doable.

the motor stock can handle 10psi safely all day. above that at about 12psi, the rod bearings become the weak point.

sinter forged rods and forged crank stock.

the motor will be built for 2010, wiesco pistons at 9.21 comp, k1 h-beam forged rods, kife-edged and rebalanced crank, ported and polished heads and a couple other things.then im going for 600bhp with boost, and not sure what i'll get when i spray on it.

due to space, upgrading turbos will require building new manifolds, so both super 60's should get me to about 600 or so BHP after that i will spray and see if i cant rip the subframe from under the car, haha.

EDIT:

i also will be spraying meth this year, the meth will be installed in the next week or so along with the intercooler sprayer i have sitting in my basement. so that 8-10psi is gonna go a long way for this year

My sisters VW bug pulls harder than this:

in all honesty i think it wouldve made the car much heavier Fglassing over all of those panels, as well as bondo if there were imperfections, then the primer and paint and clear coat weight. the car itself is 3400-3500lbs alone stock....im 250lbs(running back, lol)

i know the weight still increased doing just the paint and such. but it weighs near as much as a full glassed interior.

that is part of the reason i am hesitant to do my trunk. too much weight. a friend of mine has a civic with just the trunk done, its like 300lbs heavier than stock

i know i have the power to where it shouldnt make a difference, but it really does bro.

EDIT: my car is a bit of a frankenstein.

its a show car, but there are somethings not done to it, because i will be racing it and want to save a lil on weight. i hope that makes sense.

Not to be an ass or anything but when you said on page 1 that the car is a "fully tuned twin turbo mazda 6" Technically speaking, you never hit a dyno so how could you fully tune a car without spinning it on the rollers a few times? I know a thing or two about tuning on the road but nine times out of ten, the maps are gonna need to be adjusted to get all the bugs out. I think you need to take your "fully tuned" statement back. Your car is untuned.

Very nice car, though :goodjob:

thanks for the compliment, and technically speaking...you dont need a dyno to "Fully Tune" a car. so u need a dyno, why cause its stationary? so u need a dyno, why because its considered unsafe to do pulls on the highway.

if you beleive you need a dyno to "Fully Tune" a vehicle, then keep wasting your money.

i use the dyno for numbers and thats it. thats all they are good for is bragging rights. yea yea, they are safer because no traffic. but on the open highway at certain time there is no traffic.

so why pay $100 to $200 per hour to get 4-5 runs when i can spend $20 on 93 octane and go on thise almost abandoned 1-2mile str8, right around the corner from my house.

im not getting into this about whats tuned and what aint because i didnt use a dyno to tune it, lol.

again thanks for the compliment, im glad u like the car, but there will be no taking back of statements.

I like it. As for the some of the hater comments I've seen. What have you done that was different in a buildup?

Thanks man, how are u liking the standback. I've been noticing a trend with some of the speed6 guys. They are dumping the standback for the ap. Never really asked why tho. I'm actually working on another option for tuning for the speed guys as well as the regular 2.3L

waddup my brothaa

What's up man, how's it feel being back home in the NY?

Looks good. Needs some good pics!!

Thanks bro, I'm actually due for some new pics and video footage. At one point I lost my good digital camera, so most of the pics were taken with my G1. I have a wedding to go to this weekend, so if my test run with the oil fix goes good, ill be driving the 6 and will be able to get some better pics

car is clean as hell man im feeling the punisher bro

a couple people ask for pics of the build. i dont have too many as thru the build i actually lost my camera, so i was taking what ones i do have with my Phone. so excuse the crappy quality. i will take some new ones as i just recently purchased a repacment camera.

this was durring the build so you may see wires and shit like that holding things in place, but they are no longer there of course.

not exactly sure how hitting max boost just at or under 3000rpms is not moving enough exhaust to spool the turbos but ok.

Thanks guys.

As for the too many colors post. I'm unsure how 3 colors is too many color. 95% of the whole is indeed black and whit. And some blue under hood. So F&F my car is not. At least in my opinion. But to each his own. I'm also confused as to what lights you are talking about need to be removed, lol.

The car is a driven car that is setup for track use. I just like to show the car. I build cars that are not common and build them to compete in any venue if I need it to. So this car will hold down the drag strip, road course, as well as the show scence whenever I need it to.

Thanks for the posts everyone. Negative or positive they are all appreciated.

Thanks. And who says those days are gone? Build your car how you want it. Not how everyone else thinks it should be. That kinda of thinking is why 80% of car modders rides look identical in one way shape or form.

havent taken it to the strip yet. its actually setup for road course, just has the power to be fast in a straight line. 425whp @ 12psi no clue on the 18psi i have run. will be going for 700whp this year on boost and juice.

The interior, and big ass sticker's kill it for me.. Other wise good effort, and each to their own!

thanks much appreciated. the stickers are there for a specific reason. but yes, to each their own.

Nice build and you would drop alot of jaws at the drag strip. The rear body peice Im not all for and I would remove the stickers for a cleaner look (unless your getting paid by sponsors), but the whp is crazy for a Mazda 6.

I still hate that back bumper, but when you're making 700+whp I think you get to decide what's cool or not, lol :goodjob: Everything else about this car is still amazing

Do you love the car, thats what really matters.

As far as feedback goes... the good: nice engine, cars a monster, well done. the bad: I think the styling is dated.

not your everyday 400hp+ car, if it had stock body parts it would have been even more of a sleeper, but i still like it

I just think it's funny that you have all these body mods, then you have pretty much stock wheels. IMO, you have the right idea with the rear diffuser section of the rear bumper, but the rest of the bumper is ugly. I would either have a diffuser on the stock bumper, or find a different bumper that wasn't so huge.

If it's setup for road course, shouldn't aero be a concern?

Right here says it all. Wheels don't look bad with the car. I might change the color, but not bad as is. Stickers (especially that NX one) are really an eyesore.........

the stickers are there for a specific reason.

If you're getting paid or some compensation (besides a 10% discount), then I couldn't imagine the "specific" reason. You're car, though, so enjoy it. Later, QD.

I must say Kudos for keeping interest in this car for this damn long. Once a car is this heavily modded most people would lose interest very quickly, but apparently you're still taking it to shows and everything :goodjob:
