title question

bought a car, signed the title so i could drive before i got the tags, never got the tags and never changed the title, so basically the person sold it to me, he signed it, i signed as buyer. is there anyway to sell/trade this car without having to have the title transferred to me first then the next owner?

yeah but the car wont pass emissions with the CEL and stuff so ill have to change my gwinnett license and motorcycle license to my uncles barrow address(40bucks) then drive to hapeville(40bucks gas there and back) then pay the transfer/tag fee(38bucks)

WAIT!!! quick!!! dont you have to get emissions to TAG the car? can i just title the car without tagging it?? i was looking on the MVD expedited title thing http://motor.etax.dor.ga.gov/motor/titles/needed/expeditedtitle.asp
and it doesnt say anything about needing an emissions statement. is there a way i can get out of this?? like just go there with the title and proof of insurance and get a new title but not a new license?

To get a title you need nothing but the old signed title. You only need emissions to tag it.
BUT, its illegal to sell a car knowing that it cannot pass emissions. If the next owner really wants to, he can legally make you buy the car back if he cant get it to pass right away.

Yup. Mofo on here sold me a car but didn't pass emissions, and he gave me a fraud emissions. He got a few months in jail and shit load of charges. Lets not get into detail now lol.
