sup everyone, winter is almost here. Anyone snowboard? I started two years ago, been to mainly Okemo in Vermont. Once to Sugar Mtn (lame). Hopefully this year I'll have a new Burton board rather than a rental, and most likely going to Whistler in Canada this year.

sure you don't mean cataloochee? i started goin there this past season bc it's so close. been boarding for 3 seasons altogether. will be heading back out to colorado again sometime this winter, can't wait.

i dont snowboard, but i have been skiing for the past 5 winters. Mostly hit up sugar mountain, but i wana go somewhere better this winter

Just started boarding least season (January). I bought used instead of renting. Was lucky enough to cut my teeth on the slopes in Jackson Hole, WY.

I ride a 155 GNU Altered Genetics and am considering going longer because of the AWESOME powder out west.

If you haven't ever boarded out west then you are missing out big time. It is expensive, and it will ruin you for the ice patches that pass for ski slopes in the east/southeast..... but its so worth going at least once.

i picked up a bataleon snowboard on craigslist on a steal. cant wait to get out this winter.

probably hit up cataloochie and maybe gatlinburg. want to head out west but i want to visit europe this summer

I was born in New Hampshire till I was 14, been snwboarding a good 12-13 years I would guess. make a lot of trips to Cataloochee in the winter since that is the closest mountain to me, but make other trips to good mountains as well. Utah has the best snow in the country that I have boarded on so far.

tried snowboarding for the 1st time up in gatlinburg last season. it was lotsa fun but a little difficult. but ppl have been telling me skiing/snowboarding there sucks compared to the real thing and it's a lot easier to learn on better mountains. so this winter i'll try out west...

Ugh. No reason to go out of the country if you're still going to end up in the east. Montreal is just as icy as the hills here in the east.

i start 2 seasons ago and im hooked ever since. went to sugar mtn and cataloochee and covered just about every mountain from central to southern of California. that big storm they had last season in california made the trip even better :) Whistler is on the top of my list though.
