Atlanta Dragway, Commerce in Nov. .. Who's coming ?

I'm gathering a group of people to go to Commerce a few times before it closes mid November.
Test N' Tune is on Friday, the track opens from 6-11. Entry is $20 per car, $30 if trailored & $10 for spectators. My car is currently in the shop but will be out in about 2 weeks so I'm looking to go either November 4, 11, or 18th (or all).
I'm posting early so people can get there car together & plan accordingly, also to figure out a meeting spot & time if anyone wants to meet up. Post your thoughts .. :) Visit AtlantaDragway.com for track info <

Nothing cool, stage 2 clutch, its an Si so D16A6, port and polished, Apexi exhaust, Skunk 2 suspension, intake, strut bars, its gutted, body is stock, chipped ECU, thats about it really.

Well talked to her today and to my surprise, shes down for it :bigok: I just didn't want to be a dick and take her to a car event when she hates cars, and she's only in for 4 days. So yeah I'll be there on the 11th and maybe, hopefully at least one other weekend.

Yeah Ren you should run the supra, if you don't do it then, you won't be able to run (at a track at least) until next season.
I'm hoping for solid 12.5 by the end of this season...sucks most of the season my car was down (and usally nothing major, just stupid little problems that keep it from running right...grrr). I was originally hoping for high 11's but oh well...next season.

I'm looking to hit a whopping mid 14's as she sits. She has mid 13 potential if I can find a few more bucks but unless I magically hit the lotto (a lot of magic as I don't even play!), she's stuck in the mid to high 14's for this year.

I have slicks and 80% of a nitrous wet kit. I need extended lugs for the slicks (and probably a set of spacers) though so I can't even run them yet.

What people say and what they do (as in coming) are 2 different things. You'll probably get 5-8 runs if you always get back in line after running if you get there around 7-7:30...

Yes, if you have the battery anywhere other than the stock location (at least out of the engine bay anyway!). This is why mine is back in the front!

its basically right off of 85 (exit Pleasant Hill) if your coming from the south, take a left of the exit and about .5 miles and it will be on your left. (2nd light i think)

had a pretty good time considering the COLD!! Saw a few fast ass bikes and saw a mustang run 9.5! was nice seeing some new IA people out there.

Got there at like 9 because traffic on 285 is killer so I guess I missed some good runs. Good news though, 95BoostedTeg let me run his car one time & I ran a 13.8 at 114 mph! Beat his time today & got the highest trap his car has ever gotten at the track :)

The it knocked the entire way down so I kept letting my foot off and then just shut down early , ended up with a 13.8. 2nd and last run I lowered my boost by 6psi (a little too much), no knock no spinning but only a 13.7 :( My laptop's battery was dead, and I forgot to bring the power inverter. So there was no logging, and that's why I had to lower boost rather than just adding a little fuel. Ah well, think I'm going to go next friday and I'm leaving hella early to avoid traffic.

Oh I saw your car in the staging lanes (didn't know it was yours). I was actually going to talk to you a couple of times but then the lines started moving. LOL yeah I beat the blue srt the second run I beat him out of the hole, and he started pulling me in until I hit 3rd and they we stayed about even (him about a half a car behind) but it was a shitty 13.7 run me only on 15psi:rolleyes:

Yeah the lines were incredibly long on Friday. I'll be out again on Friday but way earlier this time to avoid ALL the traffic & get a few runs in before everyone comes. Funny thing is when I ran the CRX on nitrous I ran a 15 flat cause I was spinning so much on bald steelie tires but I trapped at 99, you trapped at 100 at 13.9 :)

on bald street tires ,iv ran 14.5 at 101mph, but on bfg,s drags radials ran 13.9 at 100 mph . i also found out were the bad vibration was coming from , i broke all my mounts ,the rear mount has no urathan in it at all after friday night.

I have got to learn how to drag. It was my first time. I never got traction until third gear, probably due to street tires (Khumo 711's). I improved my times though from high 16's to mid 15's. It sure is fun passing that 1320 at over 100 mph though...hehe

Yes, AWD will make a difference...that's why I put FWD (and really on street tires usually).

more like you will see....my first runs was straight off the hwy....i went to tech and then to the track..the other time i pulled into the line and turned my car off....then the car was slower...leave your car on and you will prob not have the problem,...turn it off between runs then we can see...
