Reassembly of 1439/2000

[1439/2000]

A few teasers after paint and cf. Lower cladding, bike rack and the jdm front and rear bumpers need to go back on. More fitment and elbow grease are going in it and you know it won't be out until it's DONE DONE. Watch out for this one.

Just a few to keep you interested. All new suspension is on (KSport 32 ways/Cusco FandR strut bars/Whiteline FandR swaybars)but i need to raise the car up for the Hoosiers.

I see what you did there. Read fitment isn't done yet, ie the trunk and hood need to be adjusted on the hinge. I just slapped them on still need the pins too. The car is 500 awhp on Hoosier slicks, you think I'm driving it in the rain? :lmfao: It will barely see the street.

LOL you're 18 so I'll cut you some slack but, you don't know what you're talking about. Rare homologation model produced exclusively to rally it compared to a 3000gt VR-4 that came out years later doesn't cut it. Galant VR-4's have been faster on every race track 1/4 mile, dirt, ice, and tarmac all over the world. If you just think that 3000gt's look better than the Galant, thats fine but they're not "more amazing".


Second you asked if it was a VR-4 3 months ago when I made the thread that I got it back and said the same thing about 3000gt's then. :screwy:

Anyways, heres a picture from Jan 08. Only one i could find.

CF driveshaft

Largest cam for a street car
Completely custom (by himself) C&C'd Intake manifold
custom menthnol injection setup

Street Legal, Passes emissions.

Just finished a 1200awhp build last month.

This would have been acceptable if you would have added , with a friend, at the end.

Also don't post other junk in this thread, I'd like to update it with pictures of my car as a reassembly thread if you could delete the 3000. Make a seperate thread for that car.

About 3300 lbs. Don't know the power/weight ratio, I haven't calculated it yet. In fact I never will probably that's some Gran Turismo 4 shit. :D

Got the other wheels on and took it for a spin around the block. The SA3A's are staggered (17x7f/8r) and I went with a 1/4 in spacer on all 4 to pull them out more. The car will get lower and more camber but everything felt nice rolling around. First time I had driven her in 4 mos. Back in the garage and really do the last leg.

Update:

The car is 95% done.Passenger side corner light must have gotten left at the paint shop or fell out while driving it out :?, Foglights still need to go in, jdm rear bumper I havent put on yet (its black too) , finishing touches and I wasnt going to post up until it was done but at least its looking closer than before so here it is. But keep in mind when its completely done I'll get some better pictures of it. Maybe this weekend?

You can still see a little white under the cladding which will be addressed and not noticeable this weekend. Also the white USDM rear bumper is being replaced with the black jdm bumper.

With the rack up there I really didn't want to do all that. Weather has sucks so that has slowed progress this weekend other than detailing the interior. The rear bumper and cladding should be done tomorrow.

Update: Jdm rear is on and all the white under the cladding has been painted black and refit back on.

Electrical is still dead but its getting towed to the shop tonight. I did roll it out of the garage :rofl: I have it stored in at an apartment garage just to get a couple shots of the complete picture. First time I had seen it all put together as well. Still need to put the foglight endcovers on it (if I still have them all) and replace the other corner light.
