And the prices on eBay just went through the roof. It's really too bad that most of the cars on that list have been trashed and swapped to death. Trying to find a numbers matching car of any one of those in 20 years is going to be a real pain.

:headslap: Why why why did I get rid of my 1st gen 7s. I gutted and raced one, and basically gave the other away after destroying 2 sets of apex seals. The second was showroom immaculate. I kick myself often for that.

The Miata and the CRX seem too common to be a collectible. Everything else makes sense though. Cool.

Try and find a nice one at a decent price. (<$3000 for a car at least 18 years old).

I DONT KNOW IF ANYONE CARES TO READ OR SEE THAT IT SAYS THE FUTURE MEANING NOT NOW BUT IN THE FUTURE...LIKE IN THE FUTURE OPPOSITE OF THE PAST. NOT THE PRESENT BUT IN THE FUTURE. MEANING NOT NOW BUT LATER LIKE IN THE FUTURE.....THE FUTURE...

And all of those cars have crazy value, compared to alot of cars that came out a during their time out. And they all are either first or last of a chassis or car..

not to mention when you start breaking down each of those cars by color, and trim. Already limited quantity then certain trim and colors were only offered a year or so in very limited numbers....rare much?

FD, MKIV Supra, NSX, 300zx turbo, 3000gt vr4 are timeless pieces. None of them show their age when it comes to body lines, performance, and were ahead of their time. A untrained eye pondering upon a very clean/stock example of those will easily think it's a mid-late 2000's model. True Japanese collectors of 90's.

True collectors of this age are the 06+... Saturn SKY Redline, Pontiac Solstice GXP, Mustang GT 500KR 40th Anniversary, ZR-1, C6 Z06, Fort GT, Viper ACR, New CTS-V (550+hp in a caddy+6spd, learn BMW, BENZ, AUDI), mostly all Italian horses and bulls, Carrera GT, 2010 GT3/RS, Benz Black Series line up, SLR 722, Veyron, and few upcoming....you get the idea. This is probably the last decade we will see such display of raw horsepower powered by gasoline only. Future exotics maybe faster, but i can bet with some Hydro, electric or green help. Buy one or more of those puppies, and enjoy the pride, and appreciation in value they'll bring in future.

I have already started on my list, get yours :goodjob:.

Why would you all disagree with an FB RX-7? It paved the way to what rotary heads play with now.

The Miata may be common, but it had many trim levels, and is a sought after car. Many people have low mileage mint Miatas just sitting in their garage. It brought back true sports cars and RWD cars. Do some research on a Miata and you will have a much higher respect for them, they aren't just some random built Mazda, they have a lot of special engineering behind them.

Trading a Del Sol for a Miata, LMFAO. Del Sol's nobody wants, Miatas still go for high prices.

Why would you include a car that is already known? This is a list of FUTURE collectibles.

And I think it's funny how people would put the FD over the FB in here. Later, QD.

Lol at the comments.

An FB not a collectible? Who is your drug dealer?

The FB's are already a collectible, it's probably one of the most underrated collectibles on the market right now. It is an amazing car, pretty rare to find one in good shape now for one reason......people didn't know how to work on them back in the late 70s and early 80s so everytime something happened to one, they junked it. It's got everyaspect of a collectible. Fast, good looks, low availability in good shape.

It's funny when people put current cars in a list of future collectibles. So I think i'm gonna make my own list.

1. Ford Taurus SHO. I put this in here because I think that after 2012 the ONLY car that isn't destroyed in a flood, tornadoes or the earth shattering kaboom is going to be Old Man Johnsons brand new Taurus SHO that he bought using the money he recieved from a government program aimed at helping farmers in rural Kansas. It will be the last car in America that is still driveable. Don't ask me how, it's my dream...don't shit on it. :D

ANY car can be a collectible given the right circumstances. WHo in their right mind would have thought a freaking Gremlin, a Pacer, a Pinto or any of those other things could have been collectible. I'm sure nobody looked at a VW thing and said...."Dang, I better put one of them there things (Pun intended) in a barn for 20 years.

i would have to say that the NSX and ITR are already highly collected, making them present high japanese collectors

Lolz to the people not thinking the FB doesn't belong on the list, even if I weren't a rotard I would still realize that the FB paved the way for the FC and FD which some people want on the list. Think about it, if there weren't a FB there would be the sexiness that is the FD.

I have to agree. The first gen rx-7 was a revolutionary car right next to the 240z. Out of the box for its age its still fairly quick, good handling, and rwd. And finding an ultra clean one in good condition..good luck. Theres actually a mint one at the hyundai dealer with 40k on the clock for 4 grand i think. Beautiful car. As far as the miata ya its massed produced, and you see them all the time but it too was a revolutionary car that paved the way for many of the cars you see today. People think its just rwd convertible with no power, but they dont know of all the R&D that went it to perfect and give it the track record it has today. The miata had been around for two decades and even today magazines have rated it #3 in the "best drivers car".
