i just got a Nikon D3000 last week and only have the 18-55mm kit lens for now. Figured i will learn on this nd step up to other lenses later.
these are nothign spectacular and certainly have been done before especially the atlanta traffic one as i see pix like them on flickr all the time but gotta start somewhere.

thank you, yes the D3000 is the replacement for the D60 with more features and 11 point focal system. it was just released July 2009
i planned on just getting the D40 for 599 as a kit but it made more sense to spend 100 more dollars for the D3000 over a 2 year older model with less features.

I'm saving for the d5000 but I will have to check the d3000 out now

pictures are nice. ISO is making a couple a little noisy :EDIT: after looking a few times, idk. it doesn't really seem to be very noisy at all lol. but nonetheless i really like the shots themselves. nice composition and what-not lol.

pretty nice work! that D3000 is a nice camera. looks like the same sensor as the D90/D300. still gay you have to use AF-S lens. boo.

yea my buddy has a D70S and some pretty nice lenses id like to try but since i need AF-S since the motors are built into the lenses now instead of the body i would have to use manual focus on his lenses. bummer
