Sooo lookin into the hondata s200 or something like that. My question is would it be pointless to buy a hondata chip if the only thing done to my enigine is cai. Would it be pointless to chip it till I get like headers and exhaust and a better intake manifold, etc. I plan I getting hearders over time ofciurse but I kinda wanna keep the stock gsr exhaust so it's like a sleeper kinda lol. So say I just had intake. Would I have to buy a aftermathet ecu? And would it be point to chip it with only intake. Cause I'm sure with only intake u could chip it with hondata chip and get it tuned and still some so good numbers change.(hp/tq) you can see where I'm getting with this. What's ur input? Yeh it's a noon question but don't hate.

for CAI i wouldnt worry about a chipped ecu. for H/I/E u can get a chipped p28. then have it tuned by scotty or by scotty. for less than half the hondata price. it will still do the same thing.

better yet just pm scotty

u dnt need a ecu, unless u change alot of things when u start changing up things then you would wanna go with a s300 its around 500-600 but its well worth it and it comes with a cd that u can put your own base map on it...but as of now..if u wanna change it then get a chipped p28 for now

since you're 2001 then you need an obd2b-obd1 conversion harness...get it from www.boomslang.us they are they best quality and one of the least expensive. chipped p28. i have tuned 1000's of honda/acuras and i have plenty of gsr maps that'll work for your setup as you have it.

you can get some gains out of it w/ just a cai, but you will get even more gains out of it w/ ihe than just having the cai. you could get away w/ waiting to tune it until after you go ihe.

also, it sounds like you want to get the job done on a budget...i wouldn't suggest spending the extra $ at this moment on hondata. you can get the job done just as well w/ a chipped p28 running crome.

feel free to give me a call if you have any questions. 678-614-3596.

I wouldn't get the hondata with just I/H/E, use that money and take it to mainstream.

I wish I had the money. As soon as I do though it's going up there.
Might be a minute though... sadly
