Honestly D.I.D. Best chain out there. I'd do a 520 conversion if you haven't already. I believe cycle gear has a deal on a D.I.D chain and new front and rear sprocket set 520 conversion for the price of the chain. I'm running a D.I.D right now on stock sprockets. As soon as I tear down the rear for a new breaks and a new tire I'm going -1 front +2 rear 520 conversion with the D.I.D chain.

I run a EK. Each company has a cheap version and a good version and a great version of their chains. Just make sure you get the top of the line model and MAKE SURE IT'S A RIVET ON CHAIN. Not a clip on type.

Definately! my buddy had the clip style snap on him. Took a nice chunk out of the back of his leg. Did it cause it was like $20 cheaper but wound up costing him more for the stitches. :lmao:

im about to order a new chain myself, anyone have any insight on a 520 set up on a 1000, from what i understand the chain could be more prone to snapping on a 1000 compared to a 600.

my bike is a 01 gsxr 1000 btw

I've ran D.I.D. on my race quad all year, it's seen abuse I'd imagine a streetbike chain would never see, and it's held up amazing.

Straight up Huffy chain? I hear the less rotating mass cuts down on a loss of power.

I am currently running with a RK Racing xso x-ring chain 520 conversion with vortex sprockets. I also vouch for press on and not the clip on style. I have seen one come off!
