Well some of my friends who I've talked to lately have been complaining about few things about work. How they wish they can get fired/layedoff so that they can chill at home and have all the free time in the world. I disagreed with them and argued for like an hour.

To people with jobs and to my friends:

SHUT THE FUCK UP!

Don't you dare say you hate waking up every morning, or you wish you didn't have to work, or how you wish you can sit at home and just chill, and so on. Not many of you are like my friends, but I'm willing to bet most of you are.

About my situation:
I got layed off 2 weeks ago, and I'm going crazy here. It's been only 2 fucking weeks. Yes I'll get my unemployment checks each week, but I say fuck that shit. When i was working I was one of those people who complained about everything I stated above. How i wish i had more free time and so on. Fuck, I wish I can get my job back, I would work over time every day, but the weekend ofcourse.

With all this free time and boredom, I've decided to take trip to Europe in Novemeber for 2 months and see if Europe might have some fun things to do.

Discuss.

Cliffs:

Nob Job+alot of free time=Crazy Boring.

Thread FAIL? maybe, we will see.
Before making your statment, money is not an issue. You will get your weekly checks that will support your bills.

I was talking the other day to my Mom how sometimes I wished that I had done one of those "backpacking through Europe" excursions when I was fresh out of high school. Back in the 80s, it wouldn't have been that bad. Nowadays, I wouldn't even consider it. With as much trouble as this Earth is experiencing right now, trekking across another continent is just asking for problems. You'd never know if you were walking right into enemy hands. It's way too much of a risk to do something (cool as hail) like that right now, man. I wouldn't risk it. Later, QD.

I kinda have the best of both worlds I guess. I've done nothing but play poker for a living since I was almost 19 *I am 22 now*. With that I do have alot of down time and pretty much make my own schedule. Shit gets boring a good bit of the time, But with that said I can also get one of those phone calls that say "Hey man, Wanna go to Florida this weekend?" And can pretty much always say yes. So I do enjoy the freedom and party like atmosphere that goes along with being able to do what I do for a living it also results in a lot of down time and boring afternoons.

Well I'm from Europe, so I'm kinda familiar with the people over there. I got family in almost every country over there. I've already called few of them in each country, and they said they are more than happy to have me. So with that said, why not take a break from USA.

But I see what you mean with you comment. Times have changed. But I'll have family members who, well I hope, will take care of me. :D

Play poker, as in, with your friends? Or as in professional poker? I never saw you on Poker Tour, and I always watch poker on T.V. :lmfao:.

lol, I travel alot with friends but definitely not just "play with friends" I haven't played a lot lately strictly because I just enjoy doing nothing for weeks on end from time to time. But in July I played in... Biloxi, L.A.,Cherokee and Tunica. And from time to time I do nothing but play online. A lot of my friends are strictly internet pros and one of my good friends was in some WSOP coverage from the Main Event a few weeks ago.

Sometimes I get irritated with things at my job, and wish I had money to just sit around. However I would hate it, I had my appendix taken out recently and was off for two weeks. It was nice the first few days, after that I almost went crazy due to inactivity.

Get a hobby. I word 2 jobs (well 1 job, 1 home business) and I too wish I could just have all the freetime in the world. Why? Cause I skateboard. I wish I had all day and all night to skate, film, and make videos. The weekends are too short for me and I always skate when I'm exhausted cause thats the only time I get. I'm taking vacation next week for one of my jobs and I can't wait to take the time and skate and hang out with my friends. If I didn't skate, or was injured at the time, Yeah I can see what you're comming from, but me personally. I would LOVE to not have a job if I could afford it.

I understand what your saying completely dude. It kills me to hear people constantly complain about their job(working, hours, pay, time off), when there are tons of people who would do anything to get a job right now to support their families.
---But I have to say I'm one of the few people out there that really loves me job. I work at a Pharmacy in a public hospital in Macon. I have to say its great pay(Set Salary), M-F, set hours, and great bosses/owners. But that's not why I enjoy it soooo much, (I mean yeah it helps though). I love my job because I get to give people the medication to feel better, I get to help people with all kinds of issues from (Insurance Problems to showing which medication would work best), There are always hilarious stories to come home and share about crazy old people or druggies, and most of all its what I enjoy doing and its something different daily.
