edit: i think it is totally acceptable to call out someone in a critique thread, because that is what a critique is. but calling people out who may not have any interest in becoming a better photographer (like the majority of people in the car pics section) is pretty dick.

I like the idea of the thread, if he was posting it as a joke. He tried to keep it somewhat nice but some people are happy with artistic ignorance.

The best excuse in the thread was not having a good camera which is the biggest copout. I have taken great pictures with a $30 film camera and every photographer knows that the camera does not "make" the picture.

I think that if you make the same type of thread on IA please make sure you include signatures because there are some awful ones on here.

I always welcome criticism as long as it has merit.
