hey! I have a 1990 Mazda Miata, that has everything ready to be a great autocross car, and almost everything to be a good street car. but i am looking for somethign with some more space now. id like to trade for a sporty four door sedan, or a four seat coupe or convertable, im open to almost anything, and am willing to trade up or down. so let me know what you have!

Here is a list of the good stuff,
brand new wheels and tires less then 500 miles on them
kyb agx adjustable shocks
tein lowering springs
seam welded chassis (makes the car stiffer)
welded in roll bar (very safe)
corbeau racing seat with cam lock 5 point harness
flyin miata front sway bar
strut bar
power steering delete (better feel, quicker steering responce)
custom sleepy eye head lights, with hids
custom exhaust (racing beat header, jackson racing gutted cat, super trapp muffler, very loud, but comes with stock cat and muffler for emissions time)
reflashed ecu (raises the rev limiter to 8000 so you can hold a gear longer during autocross)
new brakes up front, less the 500 miles on rotors and pads, back has good life left
pioneer head unit with ipod connection
jackson racing 0 ohm plug wires and new plugs
have a full set of stock wheels that will need tires, and i have an extra wheel that matches i used as a full size spare (would be good to mount racing tires on for track days, very light wheels)

the bad
top has no rear window, but i have a piece of clear plastic i put in there to help keep water out
a/c was removed to make extra power (heat works great though)
a few interior pieces missing.
the last owner deiced he wanted to paint the car with house paint and a roller, looks good from far and it pics but bad up close

It will with that stock exhaust...maybe. He had to do a lot to make it pass. It's not a good street car AT ALL, it was never meant to be a street car. The carpet is gone, the seat is low, you HAVE to use a harness, no way to put a stock belt back, it's VERY VERY VERY stiff, and squeaks like CRAZY lol.

I traded him a Porsche 914 for it. It's worth $1700, I bought it for $1700 then tracked it out and tracked/raced it for almost four years....it's abused beyond no other.

No, it's not fast, it was ok quick when I had it running on a stand alone ECU and AFM delete and such, but it's just a 1.6, it's really under powered. As in any stock Civic can pull from it.

Hell, regular VW parts are expensive (for watercooled at least) and with the Porsche brand on it I'm not surprised you got rid of the 914.

For air cooled it depends on who you buy from. I've replaced a ton of seals, hardware, mounts, etc. on my Beetle and I've only spent about ~$150 so far.

As for the second part thats why you should get a DD that you can drive every day without worrying about it and then put all your effort into another car.
