i have a 92-93 gsr cable tranny that grinds 3rd and sometimes 4th
i know im gonna get hell about this but i dont know too much about cars
do i need to put oil into the trans?
if so, where do i put it in at?

there is a issue with your 3rd 4th gear/syncro sets. u can try some gm syncromesh but it doesnt work it will be time for a rebuild or a different tranny.

I haven't driven my car enough to have to worry about it, and I honestly, forgot haha.

But if iirc, below the starter. I usually just pull the speed sensor out, and put it in there instead. I think it's easier.

so just fill till it comes out the side plug?
sounds easy enough
is the plug on the firewall side or radiator side?

if u look in the pic the ratchet is on the drain plug. the u can see the 1" plug that will read for fill.

:thinking:yup thats the fill. open that up put fluid in threw the speed sensor whole. when fluid comes out of there cap it off and your good to go.

The one with the 3/8 drive square in it is not the fluid check plug, it is for the snap ring that holds the case to the gear set. The fluid check plug is a 17mm beside the passenger side axle on the fire wall side... not shown in this picture.
