AP2 bumper, intake, header, and VAFC2+tune should all make their way to the car by january.

I'm pretty happy with where im at considering i just got the car back in may, and ive spent a good bit on maintenance and upkeep keeping the car proper. i dont need big baller wheels and parts to be happy with the car - i just enjoy driving it.

Hell, I told Josh with the C5Z06 to "bring his heap of shit so i can see if the steering wheel works". Obviously I know he'd walk all over all of us. It's in good humor, amongst friends. You went well out of your way to try and rag on me though, when we've met, what, a pair of times?

I never claimed to make more power than you, be a better driver than you, have a better setup than you, have a better looking car than you, etc. I also never said everything is "on the way", just that I was planning on getting that stuff done by the end of January. Thats a realistic goal for me, so what?

And real keen comment with the tuition funded thing, really. Obviously Charlie has talked some smack; yeah, I've mentioned that a percentage of my leftover student loan dispersement money might make its way to the car. But, (and not that I really ought to be defending myself, but whatever) a grand total of $200 of that money has seen the car. I don't mean just as far as mods are concerned, I mean out of every penny I've got in the car.

But shit, had I poured every damn cent of that money into it, what business of yours would it be anyways? You're ballin, I'm not... congrats. I'm happy with where I'm at. Some of these kids are absolutely upside down out there just so they can fit in and impress people like you who clown on them for not having the right mods, or enough things done to their cars. haha I dont think that was it man, i got a pos miata and all the s2k guys were pretty cool. But as far as leading yes you did lead, the three and I turned around at wolf pen to make sure everyone made the turn, most people had to make a u-turn, you guys were the first to turn around, i figured derek knew the way so i asked to confirm he said ya so i told yall to go ahead and lead the pack. For the most part of wolf pen we were all running, minus the short time the van was in front of us. Now the whole time the 240, miata, and miata were all in view for me, think i might have some of it on video might have to double check. Behind yall was my buddy in the wrx 2 white s2k's then me. At what point were yall running away from people? Not to mention when we stopped at the gas station i asked if you needed anything you said you thought we might rearrange the group bc your brother couldnt go that fast, and i told you that it was cool and we were all staying together pretty good.

BUT i can tell you this first-hand: all of us s2ks were right on top of each other. iirc, all 5 of us were all in a row, i was the 4th of the 5, and i dont know who was in front of us, maybe they held us back? try and remember though, when you have a line of roughly 15 cars going around the mountains, the people in front of the line are pretty much always gonna develop a gap. good driving either way - you guys may have just legitimately been faster.

but honestly, who cares? everyone had fun, who gives a damn who was the fastest? im sure i was in the bottom third percentile of the group or so, i have no problem admitting it. i learned, became a better driver for it, and had a good time. thats all that matters to me.

oh yeah, id forgotten about that - i can verify, there were definitely several occasions where i remember JD with the black S2k, and Evan and the Savannah guy with the white ones slowing to like 10-15mph to get a nice clear path for us to carve.

nah, the offset with my le28n volks are perfect for the s2000 as i have wrecked that fender bf so its always been a little off in comparison to the passenger side although they are at the same height. wheel well liner is gone do to it being rubbbed out from the tires so the tread got caught on the "metal tab extension holes" which yanked the fender out and shredded the outside of my tire tread and caused me to go completely side ways through a sharp s turn but rolled it and tightened the damper up a few clicks and was right back on it :ninja:

Personally I'm leery of down hill left hand turns because I had a front wheel lock up once sending me off...oops!! Late braking is fine if you still leave enough room to throttle out of a skid or recover from understeer. Eleven years later not even close to the slightest incident up there and I never run anti-lock brakes.

Uphill is far more fun anyways. I love pushing a car with g-forces forcing your passengers head down like a roller coaster vs. down hill letting momentum take over...at least in a RWD you usually end up drifting downhill and powersliding up hill though.

Maybe that was because I was called out for being a Double Yellow earlier and I was trying to prove myself that I could keep off the double yellow's! :D

when you say center syndrome, are you referring to the poorly centered subjects in a few photos, or the lack of interesting composition and reliance on shooting cars in the middle of the frame? i can kind of attribute either to the casual nature of these photos, they were just some quick snapshots more or less. didnt really take my time at all, kinda snapped for a minute between hopping in and out of the car without a whole lot of thought or creative framing.

as for poles, i've been playing with the clone stamp (see the rear shot of the black and white s2ks with pallets in the background - the far right is all cloned in), but i haven't really gotten terribly good with it yet. and the cars were parked wherever the owners wanted them, couldn't really move them around to eliminate those elements from the bg.

I didn't actually do any HDR composites at all, they're all single images pretty much solely manipulated with basic vibrance, saturation, shadow/highlight, and photo filter tweaks. i think im generally somewhat conservative on saturation tweaks just because im so weary from having seen so many just crank it way up and produce unnaturally vivid images, guess i can afford to be a little more liberal with that slider. as for levels, im not yet familiar with how to tweak that in Photoshop, ill have to experiment with it.

thanks for the input and taking the time to look them over. i feel like im slowly improving, both behind the lens and in CS4. overall i was actually a little happier with the shots i took at the varsity this month better, though a good part of that could be due to subject matter, lighting conditions, etc.

On the occasions that I am just feeling like I need to let my right foot be heavy and I do race, I generally try to make sure it's all in good fun by motioning to the driver.

I recall once I was just getting onto 316 from Winder. I was just gunning it to get around this dually turbo diesel ford and he sees me blasting by and absolutely puts my car to shame. He was def. chipped though. We got to the light and he said his buddy had an MSP once and he loves these little cars. I lol'd hard. His license plate cover said "Hell yeah I street race!"
