Here is what I just sent them. This is the 6th or 7th attempt to get my deposit back.

Okay now it has been over 4 months since we rented an ATV there and returned it clean with approval and we still don't have our $500 deposit back. Your staff has already confirmed that it was returned clean and passed inspection so whats the hold up now? I called several times (we won't even go there) and no one ever called back with anything to resolve this matter. This is not a good way to do business and I would like the $500 to be returned to my CC# eventually. We spent over $1,000 there that weekend without DT keeping our deposit. 4 months is more than enough time for anyone to get their act together and fix a $500 issue like this. We love coming there and your staff is great but the rental dept. needs help. We will never rent anything there again that's for sure.

You guy's are awesome and always find a way to fix everything and help everyone out so I am really at a loss for words not understanding why the deposit hasn't been returned after 4 months? C'mon that's a log time to take to give someone their money back don't ya think?

Chris

Here is the post. They deleted the last 2 so this one won't last long. Just figured I would get the word out with their rental program.

I finally got around to making a trip there about 2 months ago I guess now, and I must say that it's REALLY gone downhill in the last 3 years. I used to go nearly every other weekend, tracks where always in EXCELLENT shape, as well as the trails, the staff was friendly, food was good etc. Last time I went the woman in the lodge acted as if someone had pissed in her Cheerios that morning, employees were speeding through the parking lot while kids where walking around, the tracks where in rough shape, and it just didn't even seem like the same place. Don't get me wrong, it's still a fun place to ride, but compared to just a few years back, it's not the same DP.

I totally agree that he needs to be treated better, I'm just saying that the entire place has went downhill. When I was going nearly every other weekend 3 years ago it was awesome.

They did almost the same thing to a friend of ours last year. It took them 2 weeks to refund his deposit on his Debit card. They were already living paycheck to paycheck so I paid for the rental for them. However with DT holding their deposit for that long they bounced all kinds of checks costing them over $200 in checking fee's. I figured if they did that to mind I'd be fine with it but to tell everyone it will be back on their card the same day is really crooked business IMO.

Oh and the staff is still nice and friendly for the most part but there are a few there that will bite your head off real quick like.

Your right, it has gone down hill and they don't regulate any of the speeders anywhere. We were in the campground and saw several staff members riding through as people were racing motorcycles around the campers and riding wheelies. No one ever said a word to them but the signs posted everywhere have warnings of slow, caution, and sound violations which no one regulates at all. I think the money finally got in their heads or something. They just don't care anymore but that will come back around to them eventually.

Damn I've got a lot of memories from that place. Good and bad.

I don't like the way Mike(the owner) runs things, he used to constantly threaten to close down the track/trails when people complained about the conditions. DP used to be cool before it blew up. Everyone used to be friendly and cool. It cost WAY WAY TOO MUCH. $30 to ride on a blue groove rock hard track and trails? Bremen is $20 and is prepped every weekend. the only thing I enjoyed riding at DP was there single track trails, most of which they randomly closed. That place is just too dangerous, there are too many idiots there. A few years back my dad was cresting a blind stepup when a group of atvs decided to cross the track on the blind landing. Long story short he t boned a girl on a atv and went flying over the bars to land on DP's cement like surface. I even once saw some jackass on a atv ride a fast 450ft wheelie straight into the side of a moving truck and break his leg. I'm sure everyone remembers the kid that died trying to hit a freestyle ramp a few years back. There are just too many idiots up there IMO.
If you like trails go to an ORV park, it's $5 to ride and the trails are usually much better than DPs.

Anyway 4 months is way too long and I would suggest taking legal action if you don't get your money soon.

On another sidenote, I'm going to Bremen this weekend if any want to meet up.

Man deposits should be refunded on the spot. Last time I had an similar issue like this, if you have all the documentation I filed a dispute with my BBT CC and it took about two weeks for the investigation and to be refunded my money. I hope you got something saying you returned it in good condition and that the time to file a claim hasnt passed.

Yea Rocky Creek is a pretty nice place to ride and they have on site camping.

Me and my fiance use to really be into riding ATV's we have a 05' Foreman 500, but lately we haven't gotten to ride as much as we use to. A few places I really enjoyed were Rocky Creek because they have a little bit of everything (ponds, dirt trails, mud holes...etc), I also liked Creek Bottom in Doles ( Its a HUGE park, nearly impossible to ride verything in oneday), Big Creek Trail in Hawkinsville (VERY muddy, alot of creek and swap riding, and Blue Pond ATV Park in Hazelhurst is pretty fun.

Hope to see you get your Money back soon! I have never been to Durhamtown and this thread makes me wonder if it's worth it.:???:
