How can I efficiently remove this thick paint-like substance off of my prelude?

I used orange cleaner to get it off the drivers side of my windshield, but that stuff is way to abrasive to use on the paint.

I have heard clay-bar, but I think that might take me hours? Any idea's?

Oh btw, I was beside a box truck on a 285 on ramp and I think his hydraulic system exploded or something because there was a "BOOM" then crap went spraying everywhere and all over my car. I thought it was oil but this is very very similar to paint.

I agree, and a clay bar should do it if you got it off with orange clean. I wouldve been talking to the driver of the truck

Did you get any information on the driver or the truck? Maybe they should pay?

Nope It was raining round 9am this morning and I saw the liquid come from under the truck, so I thought is was most definitely oil or something of the sort. Because I have been sprayed by oil before and it came off no problem.

I figured it would come off in the rain or I could just wipe it off later, I had no Idea it would dry like paint and stick to my car. If I would have known at the time I would of followed the driver and explain the situation and got his information.

You could try using a Mr. Clean magic eraser. It will probably mare the paint but could be taken out by using a PC after. Just an idea.

If its like a goo / wet try Goo Be Gone or Goof Off. You can find it at a walmart. If it's dry. Best is to wet sand it then buff, i would think . For the weindshield Goo Be Gone or take a razor blade to it.

Omg. Thanks for the suggestion. :goodjob: That worked almost too well.

I bought some lacquer thinner and applied it to a cloth then tried to wipe it off and the paint came off like it was dried up water or something. No pressure.

I had the whole front end done in about 10 minutes. Every spec of paint on there is gone.
Im waxing the paint right now, Ill throw up some pics tomorrow.

Thanks for everyone that tried to helped, ill rep you all.

EDIT: You have given too much reputation in the last 24 hours. Please try again later.
Ill get the rest tomorrow.

You should call insurance and tell them what happened, or lie and say some one threw oil at your car :DYou actually think it would cost more than the deductible to fix it? lol!
