Ok so I have been listenting to the new ABR and TDWP CDs lately, metal guy will know who that is, but I am looking to expand my christian metal or just metal horizons.

My current list includes ABR, TDWP, As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage and that is for christian metal. For non christian metal, Bring Me the Horizon, newest CD was not good at all, Parkway Drive, I Killed the Prom Queen, Throwdown, and some Trivium and It Dies Today.

I do not like the sounds of the voices in the new BMTH, and I just listened to some of the Chariot online and it sounds similar. The yelling higher raspy tone.

Any other good bands similar to what I listed? I really like the Christian metalcore bands due to the positive message from an unlikely source, but I am open to some other bands as well. I just want something easy to find to listen to, not anything too obscure.

Thanks in advance.

In return, epic picture from AILD Warped Tour last year:

The were epic if anyone else saw them, bloodied myself pretty good in their pit. :goodjob:

there are only a couple good metalcore bands left. i wont bother recommending them since you are looking for bands that all sound the same.

Emmure

I'll listen to some of them. I've heard of the band, but not sure if I've ever listened to them. Thanks.

Really? Non WL thread I didn't think was supposed to have bullshit like you're saying in here. Especially from a forum "leader".

some of these bands i listed aren't metalcore, but you should still give them a try. sinai beach, refused, the casualties, august burns red, death before dishonor, the sawtooth grin, horse the band, kane hodder, death by stereo. oh and try www.purevolume.com you can search bands by genre so that should help you out too.

x2.they were never a Christian band.listen to their lyrics.if they were Christian, then they would be going against one God's biggest "rules" or standards;James 3:10.check it out and you'll see what i'm talking about.

death by stereo was good when they were a punk band. then they tried (and failed miserably) metalcore, and now they are goin for radio rock.

i still love rocking the album "if looks could kill i'd watch you die"

August Burns Red is playing the Masquerade October 3rd

as for other bands to recommend, i would say Once Nothing (no longer together) and Maylene & the Sons of Disaster

edit: just scrollin' through my itunes, Demon Hunter and The Devil Wears Prada (dont think they are so much metalcore but are a hardcore Christian band)
