PRICE DROP - Pick this up for $400, I need the help!

I am selling a Dell laptop. It's about three years old but still at the top of its game. This computer is basically a desktop replacement so it's great for the office and home use. It's fairly large with the 17" monitor so it's not quite the lightest laptop on the block. The specs are as follows. I simply do not have any use for the laptop anymore since I've graduated. There is one simple issue with the computer: the battery doesn't work. It's been dead for quite a while now, and since I've been too lazy to buy one, I just plug it in when I use it. Everything works just as normal..it just needs a battery. It has a pretty fresh install of Windows XP on it which is, of course, legit and comes with the key. I also have Office 2007 installed. Even by today's standards this machine is very powerful and is capable of running most any game. The laptop has it's use and shows wear on the outside but the screen/inside is almost flawless. There are no heavy scratches and the screen is perfect. With a new battery this machine is just as good as most on the market today!

The closest computer I can find at Dell sells for $949.

I am selling this for $400. A quick ebay search shows batteries under $50 shipped. For $550 this is quite a machine. Funny how technology works though. This computer was close to $3k three years ago. Anyhow, thanks for looking! I am located in Kennesaw.

^^ I dont' even think there is a laptop on the market at all with a dual-core for $200. Much less a Core 2 Duo and a video card that can do more than browse the internet.

As far as an actual retail price I can't give you one. I don't have the receipt for this anymore. I remember it being close to $3k. It really doesn't even matter though considering $3k will get you a much better laptop today. This was bought on a business account which is why it's a 9400. If you want prices for what the comp sells for today then search for an E1705. It's basically the same exact computer just not part of the "business line." The only difference you'll find is that I had upgraded the video card. Just make sure when you look at the 1705's that you check the specs. Dell has always had their "make your own" thingy which allows people to actually have a 1705 that isn't the exact same as another 1705. Just compare specs. Keep offers coming. I gotta get this out.
